Uncommon but not unusual girls names?

DS has an uncommon boys name, it's a name that you'll have heard but you probably won't know very many if any.

Now we need a girls name. We previously loved Imogen but it seems to be everywhere now.

We quite like short names.

What do you think about Veronika? Its quite international, but sounds uncommon. Anna Maria, Alex, Mika, Mira, you know what. Check out the Russian names. I named my daughter by one and its beautiful.

I'm another one voting Etta! Etta James is probably my favourite artist ever 😍 I really want to use it, but DH only likes it, doesn't love it like I do, so I don't think we will.

My daughter is Effie (she has a 'Sunday name' on her BC though) and we haven't met another one. It gets mixed reactions (older generation always seem to need it repeating lol) but it really suits her perfectly :)

Ninon thanks. I'm not hot on Greek gods etc. Really should be though. I quite like the name.

Our daughter's middle name is Ayo. It's pronounced the same way ("eye-oh") but it is actually a Nigerian name meaning joy! We love it. Smile

Etta is great. It continues the Effie, Ellie, Evie thing but I haven't seen an Etta. You could use Julietta.
