Baby girl is due in 2 weeks I've posted about having the name Maggie but I've changed my mind !
What does everyone think of the name Misty ?

I love Maggie (I suggested it for our dog as hubs wouldn't have it for a child) but misty is a cats name in my opinion xxx

I've heard it short for Melissa. Do you like that?

Famous Ballet dancer comes to my mind! lovey unusual name, ignore negative comments.

Misty is a weather forecast, not a child's name, sorry.

It's a little stripper-esque. Not awful at all, but a little cutesy. Could be a good nickname option for something similar?

Typical name for grey and smoke cats. I've heard worse I suppose. If you're looking for namesakes Misty Copeland's a good one.

I do know a Misty, and I like it, but it is a marmite name.

Misty is a bit trailer parky to me. What about Margaret? Could be shortened to Maggie or Meg depending what suits her. :-)

I don't think weather makes a great child's name.
