Too poncey

GaryBarlowsTaxReturn · 19/08/2017 07:58

Shakespearean and try hard. He'll also end up being called Ly which isn't great.

Only1scoop · 19/08/2017 08:29

A British Grenadeeeeer

ZoyaTheDestroyer · 19/08/2017 09:41

How about Leander?

LarkDescending · 19/08/2017 10:13

I knew a Lysander years ago. He was posh, tall, artsy, a snappy dresser. His name suited him down to the ground.

I have to say that it's a hard name to imagine on most of the men & boys I know, though.

FizzyGreenWater · 19/08/2017 14:49

Oh noooo.

It's nice in its own way but nooo.

How about Leo, Sebastian, Lucien?

MammieBear · 19/08/2017 15:12

Gorgeous name. Good choice.

fussychica · 19/08/2017 17:10

It's definitely one that needs to have a surname which matches otherwise it could sound very silly. Too posh sounding for my taste though.

Love it

Twistandshout77 · 19/08/2017 20:08

Jilly Cooper cad too

Luciano?

Growuphelen · 19/08/2017 22:01

I think he'd just get Zanda. So why not Xander or Alexander ? Or embrace it and have Lysander known as Zanda.

Liadain · 26/08/2017 01:03

Wet and a bit overly posh, imo.

BlessYourCottonSocks · 26/08/2017 01:26

Only if you are ridiculously posh and will be buying him a string of polo ponies later in life.

Not if you live on a council estate in Moss Side perhaps.

grufallosfriend · 26/08/2017 07:44

I like it.
