For a goat that family have just acquired.

My DC have been given the proud task of choosing the name.

We want something a bit, well, goaty and down to earth, but it has to be a "real name" (ie a human name).

DC1 wants a Viking name (I think inspired by the fact that Vikings and goats have horns and beards in common Grin).

Current front runners are Trudie and Helga, but we thought MN might come up with more ideas.

We haven't met the recipient of the name yet, but apparently she is mainly white with some chestnut brown speckles, and is very playful.

Brunhilde is actually really beautiful (and a v strong name!). Love it.

SnotGoblin · 09/08/2017 19:38

Myrtle and Muriel are the names in one of the goats in one of our bedtime stories.

Letitrain · 09/08/2017 19:44

For a billy goat it should be called Peter, because of the film 'the Witch'

I am personally acquainted with a number of goats and none of them are called Brunhilde which I am only now realising was a huge missed opportunity.

My first thought was Goethe but I dont think there is a female version so Gottfrieda.
Or Gretel?
As you can see Im a fan of alliteration.
Also for some reason I imagine your goat to be German Confused.
