Where I live the 'most popular baby names' are nowhere to be seen. I am interested to know what names are popular amongst babies and children in your area and (roughly) where you are from.
I have never met a baby Isla and I love the name! In this area Florence and Theodore are very common- I am from the South West of England.

Over the last five years every girl has been named Amelia, Ellie or Grace/Gracie.

Middle names are usually Jane, Rose or May/Mai/Mae.

Not noticed any trends with boys names.

Jooni · 06/08/2017 15:23

East Mids and I'd say the most popular here are:

Lily/Lila
Isla
Florence
Isabelle

Archie
Alfie
Freddie
Jack

17caterpillars1mouse · 06/08/2017 15:23

Amelie, Isla and Matilda for girls

Oliver, Oscar and Sebastian for boys

Jooni · 06/08/2017 15:23

And Amelia actually

Mulch · 06/08/2017 15:25

Another for amelia also hyphenated names ie lilly-grace Amber-may ect. Boys seem to have surnames as first names parkers or Addisons

I'm originally from London, so have a lot of friends living in London and the SE. From that cohort, I know multiple babies called Mia, Felix, and Elliot.

Currently living in the US (west coast), and have run into 3 Lydias, 2 Natalies and a Natalia in various baby groups.

eddiemairswife · 06/08/2017 15:28

I'm on school appeals. This year for Reception we've had a lot of Lily/Lilly for girls and Ollie/Olly for boys.

eddiemairswife · 06/08/2017 15:29

Forgot to say.....West Midlands city.

AutumnGlitterBall · 06/08/2017 15:30

Lot of Logans out my way (central Scotland). Leo and Max seem to be popular choices too.

ABCFamily · 06/08/2017 15:31

Variants on Frederick/Freddie also seem to be popular in London/SE.

DarlingWednesday · 06/08/2017 15:41

SE - Eve and Esther for girls

KoalaDownUnder · 06/08/2017 15:43

All those already mentioned.

I'm also exceedingly bored of Olivia.

Yika · 06/08/2017 16:11

Mia, Ella, Anna

Max, Theo

(Among expats where I live in Europe)

AppleJacques · 06/08/2017 16:38

SE - Harry's and Jessica's, they're everywhere. Not sure if the Jessica popularity is still down to J Ennis-Hill or not. Also lots of Amelia's/Emilia's, Islam's and variations of Finns. Oh and I've met two Zoe's in the last 4 months so not sure if that's on the rise or just coincidence.

AppleJacques · 06/08/2017 16:39

Sorry, should have said Isla not Islam.

Boredboredboredboredbored · 06/08/2017 16:48

Also lots and lots of Amelia's, Amelie's, Lilly, Daisy, Mia.

ShaneBitchy · 06/08/2017 16:55

SE, the flower names have been done to death, Lily, Poppy, Daisy, so boring.
