What do we think of Savannah? And how would you spell it?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Sophronia · 30/07/2017 22:34

Not keen. It sounds very trendy American. If I had to use it I'd spell it Savannah.

PopcornNRedwine · 30/07/2017 22:37

I like it

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 30/07/2017 22:40

I love it !

Migraleve · 30/07/2017 22:42

If I had to use it I'd spell it Savannah. Eh? That's what OP put :/

I think it's lovely

biffyboom · 30/07/2017 22:47

I like it very much. But all I can hear now is the Erasure song...

Fruitboxjury · 30/07/2017 22:50

Now I hear the song in my head I like it!

PourMeAGlass · 30/07/2017 22:53

I love it and I would spell it exactly as you have x

Sophronia · 30/07/2017 23:02

Migraleve the OP asked in her post how we would spell the name, and that was my answer.

Floggingmolly · 30/07/2017 23:05

I heard someone on TV screech this in a Liverpudlian accent (which I realise you may not have, op)... It was not pretty.

Migraleve · 30/07/2017 23:16

Sorry totally ignore me.

BossyBitch · 30/07/2017 23:19

Sounds a bit like a character in some 80s/90s American sitcom. One of these 'messy but ultimately loveable family' type things.

Not horrible, just a bit meh.

NachoAddict · 30/07/2017 23:19

I quite like it but haven't heard it for awhile. I would spell it the same way you have.
I also like Sienna which is similar or Susanna.

LaSourciere · 30/07/2017 23:27

I think it is awful. Sorry.

SuperBeagle · 30/07/2017 23:33

I like it. Lack of shortenings might be something to consider though.

I also would spell it Savannah.

mammmamia · 30/07/2017 23:37

I like it. I know one who gets shortened to Savvie which is sweet.

17caterpillars1mouse · 31/07/2017 06:51

I like it
I've only ever known one who was a friends stepmother growing up. She went by Sav though which I'm less keen on. I think I'd just call her Savannah or if I had to shorten Annie would be my choice

I'd spell it Savannah also

Loopytiles · 31/07/2017 06:53

Awful.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 31/07/2017 07:01

I love it.

Savannah

Firefries · 31/07/2017 07:11

I love it and wanted to use it but stopped having kids when I came across it. Love it.

Yogagirl123 · 31/07/2017 07:33

I like it

BananaSandwichesEveryDay · 31/07/2017 07:37

The Queen's great grand daughter is called Savannah (Peter Phillips daughter).

DownUdderer · 31/07/2017 07:39

Will it get shortened to Savvie? I'm not keen

falcon5 · 31/07/2017 07:42

I really like it but my DH asked me if I planned for our daughter to be a stripper when I suggested it.

CharleyAnn · 31/07/2017 09:14

I knew one Savannah (same spelling) in school.

I think it's a lovely name, she was nn Sav but you could also use the nn Anna.

MollyHuaCha · 31/07/2017 09:36

It's ok but I prefer more classic names.
