You mean Reese?

Glider12345 · 07/07/2017 11:15

No? I have only met boy Reeces. I have met 1 girl Reese, but she was from the US? Might just be my experience though!

Reece. Definitely.

Abra1d · 07/07/2017 11:16

I prefer the more traditional Rhys or Rees spellings.

Don't like Chad. Make m think of Florida in the elections.

Glider12345 · 07/07/2017 11:16

Just looked and it is definitely Reece and Reese is at number 2000 and something!

Yeah, Rhys is nice, but there was a boy in my class growing up and no one knew that his name spelt Rhys, so when everyone handed out the books, etc. his was always left behind!

Reece definitely.

Lemondrop99 · 07/07/2017 12:00

Reece. I really dislike Chad

Amee1992x · 07/07/2017 12:05

Reece.

17caterpillars1mouse · 07/07/2017 12:31

Chad is truely awful. Sorry but it is

I see Reece as a naughty boy name. I prefer the spelling Rhys but still not a fan

Please not Chad though shudder

SumAndSubstance · 07/07/2017 12:39

I seem to be in a minority here, but I prefer Chad!

viques · 07/07/2017 12:42

Chad reminds me of that evil rapist footballer. Why not Rhys? much nicer spelling.

WhenLoveAndCakeCollide · 07/07/2017 12:45

I'm married to a Chad (I live in the States, he's an American), and over here, it's very dated. Before I met my husband, it was one of those names I wasn't keen on, as I assumed it was a modern name (i.e. the name of the country being used as a first name).

However after meeting my husband, I learned that in fact it has historical roots, and was the name of a 7th century English saint (St. Chad of Mercia). Well that was me well and truly put right.

I think Reece is more usable right now, if I'm honest, but then at the same time I don't think Chad was ever as popular back in the UK, as it once was here, so maybe it won't date like it has here.

I'm no help.

AmysTiara · 07/07/2017 12:47

Reece.

gemsandstones · 07/07/2017 12:52

Love 'Chad'.
Reece, Rhys whatever, looks too much like 'Rice' and rhymes with Grease.

yourerubberimglue · 07/07/2017 13:10

Both awful

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 07/07/2017 13:30

Reece.

ligersaremyfavouriteanimal · 07/07/2017 13:33

Both really awful, sorry

Sukitakeitoff · 07/07/2017 13:33

Definitely Rhys, not one of the other spellings.

Not keen on Chad sorry.

squoosh · 07/07/2017 13:37

Reece (although I too prefer Rhys)

Chad is a name best left in the pages of Sweet Valley High.

squoosh · 07/07/2017 13:39

was the name of a 7th century English saint (St. Chad of Mercia). Well that was me well and truly put right.

😀 Who knew?

It's like the time I discovered there was a Saint Tallulah.

ohhhhhshit · 07/07/2017 13:41

Chad is awful. Disregard that Confused

I'm another who sees Reece / Rhys / Reese as a naughty kid name. Or it makes me think of Reese's Pieces.

squoosh · 07/07/2017 13:45

Oh no, it seems Rhys suffers the same fate as its fellow Celtic cousins Kyle and Conor.......

.......Naughty Boy Names

Kittychatcat · 07/07/2017 13:51

Which goes better with your surname?

SoMuchWaiting · 07/07/2017 14:01

Out of the two names I really like Chad but I associate it with American teen dramas and wouldn't personally choose it. If I were to go for Reece then I'd spell it Reece, I've never liked the spelling Rhys and I think that is the Welsh spelling so unless I was Welsh and it was a family name then I'd go with Reece.
