Reece

I prefer it spelled Rhys though (live in Wales)

ScarletSienna · 07/07/2017 16:49

I really like Rhys but less so Reece which is probably ridiculous of me!

Dislike the name Chad 🇹🇩

ScarletSienna · 07/07/2017 16:49

Gah IPhone emoji suggestions Blush

APaperMe · 07/07/2017 16:57

I like Reese, this is Chad.

Do you prefer Chad or Reece?
Sophronia · 07/07/2017 18:45

Rhys but only this spelling

Glider12345 · 07/07/2017 18:54

We aren't using Rhys and I've said why! Confused

OP posts:
Rolandrat12 · 07/07/2017 19:02

Reece. I have a 12 year old Reece (very polite and sensible never described as naughty).

RiverTam · 07/07/2017 19:10

Chad - cartoon shown above
Reece - Reece's Peanut Butter Cups. Or misspelling of Rhys.

Don't like either!

Foniks · 07/07/2017 19:40

Haha this thread is funny.

OP: I prefer Reece, I don't want to use Rhys.
Most replies: oh, ok... what about Rhys?

Caprianna · 07/07/2017 19:46

Chad is an overweight middle aged American man in cowboy boots who voted Trump.

Reece is the naughty boy in class and his best friend is Tyler. He marries Demi-May.

Speedie118 · 07/07/2017 19:48

@Caprianna - can't stand snobs.

Caprianna · 07/07/2017 19:51

💁

CPtart · 07/07/2017 20:00

Another who thinks Reece is a naughty boy name. Negative connotations.
Chad is dreadful.

TartanDMs · 07/07/2017 20:03

Chad seems quite American. Reece is a good name, though.

Huckleshmuckle · 07/07/2017 20:07

'Reece is the naughty boy in class and his best friend is Tyler. He marries Demi-May.'

So, too working class. Is that what you mean?

ComputerUserNotTrained · 07/07/2017 20:12

I knew Chads. One went to Eton, the other very much didn't. Both dealt weed.

I prefer Reece/Rhys.

ScarletSienna · 07/07/2017 20:28

If it helps, OP, your reason for not liking Rhys (other children not knowing it says Rhys) is probably not likely to happen again as it is more common now maybe.

If you only want the spelling 'Reece' then I still prefer it to Chad.

catsarenice · 07/07/2017 20:34

I really like Reece. Chads are the little bits of paper from using a hole punch Smile

eastegg · 07/07/2017 20:43

Was just about to post that I'm surprised only one person has mentioned the footballer Chad Evans. Then I just remembered he was Ched Evans. Still it was the first thing I thought of, sorry.

BikeRunSki · 07/07/2017 20:45

Neither, but I love Chas.

Pixie2015 · 07/07/2017 20:46

Reece

TomaszCanSchafernakerMeAnytime · 08/07/2017 20:25

There's a Rhys in the class I work in, he's the sweetest, nicest boy. I definitely don't think of it as a naughty boy name.

SantasLittleMonkeyButler · 08/07/2017 20:29

I come from the city in ye old Mercia that St Chad is associated with. Everything is Chad this & Chad that. Therefore to me it's really boring & unoriginal Wink.

Reece is only nice if spelt properly (Rhys).

TurquoiseOwl · 09/07/2017 14:10

I know a really lovely Chad (he's a young teen (might even be 12?) and from the USA) and he really is such a lovely young man. That's why I think it's the better of the 2.

Not keen on Reece - I don't like the sound of it! It's not a 'naughty boy name'... They don't exist. A name doesn't make a child naughty Angry Rhys is better, but that's only because of it's background, so I think it changes my thoughts on how much I like it. Still don't like the sound though! I also had a Rhys in my class (I left school 2 years ago) and in Yr 7, I had no clue that's how his name was spelt and I didn't know how to say it Blush
