Right ladies give it to me straight. What's wrong with Arlo?
(Before I fall in love with the name!)

Love the sound but... I know an Arlo in his 20s and even in the trendier parts of town everyone just assumes it's Marlow

Also hard to shorten when shouting it :)

CaoNiMartacus · 10/07/2017 00:17

Arlo used to be SO POSH.

Now it is SO NOT.

In the space of, like, a year.

thethoughtfox · 10/07/2017 08:56

I love it but it crazy popular just now, maybe even 'common' in all it's contexts.

diddl · 10/07/2017 13:33

I think that it's a lovely name.

DramaAlpaca · 11/07/2017 20:48

I wouldn't use it but it's ok.

CharleyAnn · 18/07/2017 13:09

Unforunately as a name for a baby growing into an adult I don't think it suits.

My puppy is called Arlo and I think it works wonderfully for a dog or pet, but not so much human. Sorry! Blush

EmmyInTheSticks · 18/07/2017 13:19

I wouldn't use it as its too faddy. Almost unused then suddenly popular. Those names sound dated quickly.

ilivebythesea · 18/07/2017 14:23

Yep, sounds like you've dropped the 'h'

FrancesHouseman · 18/07/2017 18:54

I reckon all the people telling you its a "now" name are people who've recently had babies.

I know one real life Arlo (aged 10) and fictional Arlo from the Tweenies (again from about ten years ago).

Ignore the haterz, its a good name and will not "age terribly"
