I see it as a feminine name.

chunk14 · 28/06/2017 20:52

I only know one Eden and they are male

garmsfresh · 28/06/2017 21:02

The only Eden in my radar is the nightclub , to me it be a bit like calling your kid Hacienda ..

PetalMettle · 28/06/2017 21:07

Yes another one who thought of Ibiza...
Would say girl if anything but it sounds quite stripper to me

indigox · 28/06/2017 21:18

Female.

SunshineOutdoors · 28/06/2017 21:21

Unisex

SuperBeagle · 28/06/2017 21:42

Female.

Strongly dislike it.

Zampa · 28/06/2017 21:45

Is it just me thinking of Eden Hazard then? Obviously not as famous a footballer as I had thought ...

CotswoldStrife · 28/06/2017 21:49

I've heard of it as a male middle name (but think that was a surname IFSWIM) and I know a female with it as a first name.

thereallochnessmonster · 28/06/2017 21:50

Female. DD has a friend called Eden. Lovely name.

AmyGardner · 28/06/2017 22:00

Female.

But I'm my mind it's akin to calling your child Heaven or Nevaeh or Precious or something.

SomeOtherFuckers · 28/06/2017 22:20

Female

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 28/06/2017 22:22

Female.
However, I know two brothers, both with the middle name Eden.

emilybrontescorset · 28/06/2017 22:22

Female but I think it would suit either.

PrincessPlod · 28/06/2017 22:23

Female

OldGuard · 28/06/2017 22:24

Female
And a wonderful female too
She'll be Olympic champion one day - 2022

Dinosauratemydaffodils · 28/06/2017 22:30

Female.

I wouldn't be able to the get the Emily Dickinson poem out of my head every time I heard it though:

"Rowing in Eden -
Ah - the Sea!
Might I but moor - tonight -
In thee! "

ScarletSienna · 28/06/2017 23:08

Eden. I like it but that snippet from the poem would be enough to make me not use it.

ScarletSienna · 28/06/2017 23:08

Female.

Singingforsanity · 28/06/2017 23:32

Initially female (because of Eden Taylor-Draper) but recently met a really nice male Eden in his 20's, so unisex for me now. And he's very classy thank you very much. Lovely name.

WhatToDoAboutThis2017 · 28/06/2017 23:33

Female.

Sophronia · 28/06/2017 23:37

Eden Hazard pronounces it differently, more like eh-den than ee-den, so if I heard ee-den I wouldn't think of him.

SchnitzelVonKrumm · 28/06/2017 23:39

Female. Bit naff.

TheSeaTheSkyTheSeaTheSkyyyyyy · 29/06/2017 02:40

Male because of Eden Hazard.

I would also pronounce it the way he does too unless corrected.

TheSeaTheSkyTheSeaTheSkyyyyyy · 29/06/2017 02:41

Is it just me thinking of Eden Hazard then? Obviously not as famous a footballer as I had thought
