Not looking for opinions on the name.

Just wondering if I can?

why not?

Aquamarine1029 · 20/06/2017 16:53

It's quite a mouthful. Doesn't flow very well.

disneykid · 20/06/2017 16:54

I think the double 'son' is a bit much but if you like it then why not?

MargotLovedTom1 · 20/06/2017 16:55

Eddie Stevenson sounds way better.

Syc4moreTrees · 20/06/2017 17:00

I was just thinking kids aren't very often referred to by their full name anyway so why worry

Bear2014 · 20/06/2017 17:02

We have a 'son' name as well and have ruled all those names out, so no.

Bear2014 · 20/06/2017 17:03

Edward way nicer too 👍

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 20/06/2017 17:03

A bit clunky and clumsy.

Ed Stevenson, Eddie Stevenson, Edward Stevenson all sound great.

NemosKnickers · 20/06/2017 17:03

it doesn't flow very well IMHO, a bit clumsy

WindwardCircle · 20/06/2017 17:07

It sounds like a character from a steampunk story to me, and I'd assume you were really hoping he'd grow up to be an inventor or engineer.

chinlop · 20/06/2017 17:10

I personally wouldn't.

If I really wanted an Ed name, I'd probably go with Edwin.

There's Edmund too. I don't like it myself, but just putting ideas out there.

GinIsIn · 20/06/2017 17:17

It is clunky, sorry!

Creammmie · 20/06/2017 17:24

Hate all other Ed names.

krakentoast · 20/06/2017 17:26

I thought you were talking about a brand of vacuum cleaner or something for a second. Sorry OP!

chinlop · 20/06/2017 17:27

Hate all other Ed names.

Back to the drawing board then?

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 20/06/2017 17:29

That's a shame. What would you have thought if everyone started calling him Ed?

Creammmie · 20/06/2017 17:31

I obviously like Ed! Just not Edward, Edwin, Edmund, etc.

ThanksMsMay · 20/06/2017 17:33

Well if you ask people if you can have the name, of course you're asking opinions on the name? Because obviously you're "allowed".

But anyway, I actually really like it. It's quite cool and quirky

Creammmie · 20/06/2017 17:34

Sorry @ThanksMsMay I meant I didn't want people to make comments that they don't like Edison.

OP posts:
Floggingmolly · 20/06/2017 17:35

It's very clunky. And I know you didn't ask, but I hate Edison

ThanksMsMay · 20/06/2017 17:35

People are very rarely actually called by their full name though anyway.

ThanksMsMay · 20/06/2017 17:36

It never even popped in to my head when naming my boys but I'd have definitely considered it if I had.

RandomlyGenerated · 20/06/2017 18:05

Sounds a bit like a tribute to a lighthouse?

Theveryhungrybutterfly · 20/06/2017 18:11

No you can't, they don't work together. If you're anything like me you probably know that deep down and that's why you're asking! Good luck in your name quest!

TheFaerieQueene · 20/06/2017 18:12

Just call him Ed.
