Hunter or Jayden or Teddy?

Teddy would be his BC name. There is no point in suggesting a different name goes on the BC.

No 'neither' or 'none' please. If you think that, I'd rather you didn't comment.

Now that's out the way Smile my son is 10 days old. Which name?

OP is not coming back

HulkJuice · 20/06/2017 01:41

None

Maybe you should look at other names.

HoneyBeeMum1 · 20/06/2017 01:49

I don't like any of them, but if you are fixed on one, Teddy is the least offensive. Edward would be better.

Hunter is a bit basic 'cave man'-ish and not a proper name anyway.

I cannot imagine why anyone would want to consider 'Jayden' unless they were unashamedly a member the lower orders. Totally chav...

DavidsWife · 20/06/2017 01:54

@chinlop why would I come back? There are still people who can't even read an OP and then finish their sentence with chav, it says a lot.

Teddy is cute, and you could have Ted when they're older. But I don't particularly like Ted. I'd do Edward/Edmund on the birth certificate.

Hate the name Hunter. Would be like calling your child Butcher as a first name- no thank you. Hardly a nice connotation.

Jayden... I'm not a fan. How about Jared? That's a bit better.

I'd have to say Teddy or the lot.

bbpp · 20/06/2017 02:03

of the lot.*

OkPedro · 20/06/2017 02:10

Honestly DavidsWife if you post asking for opinions then you'll get opinions.. you can't say "I only want a certain opinion"

Name your son whatever the hell you want.,fuck sake 🙄

DavidsWife · 20/06/2017 02:13

@OkPedro I think it's quite reasonable to say that there is no point in suggesting a longer name for Teddy and for some reason people just can't help themselves.

And I obviously will name him what I want?? Grin

Hunter.

I normally am a traditional, classic names person but I LOVE Hunter. Not sure why. DP wouldn't consider it and to be honest I don't think I would have used it anyway but it's a name I like a lot.

Jayden is bad.

Teddy - I'm sorry but I'm so SICK of seeing new baby Teddys announced on Facebook and everywhere. There are so many of them and it seem, even worse, that the parents think they are being quite unusual which is even worse. Every Edward seems to be a Teddy but at least they can revert when older to Ed or Edward.
I saw a Teddy Surname flash up on the board at my GP's recently and it just seemed ridiculous that that name will be flashing up on the board when he's 45 still. To me it's the new Alfie - far, far too cutesy and also used to be a bit "different" when it's really not anymore.

SweatyMoistFlange · 20/06/2017 12:47

Hunter is the best of a bad bunch.

FurcoatnoNicks · 20/06/2017 12:50

My kid always has his fallback name of Eric

Watch this space kids 😂

FurcoatnoNicks · 20/06/2017 13:05

😂

AreWeThereYet000 · 20/06/2017 13:16

Love hunter
Teddy is cute but very popular - not a bad thing really.
Cannot stand Jayden - I don't know why but I always imagine a Jayden to be naughty

grufallosfriend · 20/06/2017 13:27

If I had to choose, Hunter.

Mothervulva · 20/06/2017 13:35

Um... I'll say Jayden. Hunter is the worst and Teddy is everywhere.

Hunter is the best of the three.

Teddy is very cute for a baby but not great for an adult if he doesn't have the option of something longer like Edward.

Jayden - just no.

highcastle · 20/06/2017 14:43

For a minute I thought you were suggesting Teddy on the birth certificate regardless but calling him Hunter or Jayden Grin had to re-read it lol.

I love Teddy, no need for a 'proper' version on birth certificate. Funnily enough I never see posts ranting about how unfair it is to put Millie on a birth certificate instead of Millicent Hmm

histinyhandsarefrozen · 20/06/2017 14:47

Can't understand the love for Hunter.

What's to like about hunting? And what if he's a real mild-mannered timid little fellow?

EverythingEverywhere1234 · 20/06/2017 14:50

Hunter is my favourite. I quite like it.
I do like Teddy but (and I know you have already said this won't be happening) I would have Edward on the BC, as it isn't really a grown-ups name imo.
Jayden, I just don't like.

Congratulations Flowers

Clarabell33 · 20/06/2017 15:16

Of the three, Teddy.

Not Hunter, as it'll likely get shortened to Hunt at school and then that rhymes with...

I don't like Jayden, and knew a Jay at secondary school who was always called Gay Jay.

I had mean older brothers and was picked on at school about my name, so yes I do overthink this sort of thing, but don't make it easy for your child to be picked on.

AguacateMaduro · 20/06/2017 15:18

Teddy or Jayden. I like Jay as well.

Hunter is terrible, sounds very angry and violent to me! So that's a definite no from me!
