Caden (without any y) is hard to know how to pronounce. And I've never met one (teacher)

buttercup54321 · 03/06/2017 21:33

Caden but prefer Jaiden

17caterpillars1mouse · 03/06/2017 21:52

Hayden

Pixie2015 · 03/06/2017 21:55

None

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 03/06/2017 21:56

None.

But if my life depended on it Aiden

ifcatscouldtalk · 03/06/2017 21:57

Hayden. I do like Aidan but knew a guy called Aidan that said "just call me Aids" kind of put me off.

Leeds2 · 03/06/2017 21:59

Wouldn't choose any of them. If I had to, Aiden.

putdownyourphone · 03/06/2017 22:03

Aidan is by far the least, um.... chavvy

CocoLoco87 · 03/06/2017 22:06

Grin At the suggestion of Aiden-Cayden

Dontrocktheboat · 03/06/2017 22:10

Aidan is lovely and an old saint's name - shame it has been tarred with the Jayden brush!

Hayden is also an old name around here - was name of dp's grandad who would have been over ninety! I like it but unfortunately it will now be lumped in with brayden/ Jayden etc.

Caden is awful.

coralush · 03/06/2017 22:26

Aidan.

Laurajonesy · 03/06/2017 22:35

Both myself and my dp are half Welsh! In fact his last name is probably one of the most commen Welsh surnames you can have! I was asking because we like all 3 and wanted some fresh perspective! All three of these names are common Welsh names however we live in England! So of these comments are shocking tbh not everyone likes the same names surely it's ok to like names others don't???

Aidan but am biased. Chosen to reflect Irish heritage.

I wish it wasn't grouped with Jayden/Caiden.

Didn't realise it wasn't a munsnet approved name. 😭

Laurajonesy · 03/06/2017 22:44

I honestly didn't know "approved" names existed! I didn't expect to be ridiculed for my baby name choices 😂

I get really arsey when Aidan is lumped in with Jayden/Caden and all those other names. No, it's an actual name, there's a fucking saint and everything! In fact the story of St Aidan is quite special.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 03/06/2017 22:48

Aidan is the least chavvy

You just be new here. Wink

Laurajonesy · 03/06/2017 23:40

I am!! It's put me off tbh I had no idea people could be so judgemental towards a stranger

Joeybee · 04/06/2017 01:23

Aiden.
However all those names are so overused and tbh a bit common, I'd want to avoid using them.

SoupDragon · 04/06/2017 08:16

I think some people are easily confused by the fact that Aidan rhymes with the others.

MsJuniper · 04/06/2017 08:20

Hayden is lovely, I like surnamey names.

Not keen on Caden.

Aidan is a beautiful, classic Irish name and the pick of the bunch.

troodiedoo · 04/06/2017 09:28

OP I would change your username on here if it's your real name.

Rockaby · 04/06/2017 09:42

Hayden
