I'm keen, so is DP. Just want some views on here to gauge people's thoughts on the name as we're not telling people in RL until DD arrives. Thank you.

Yes i think its lovely. Pretty elegant strong classy. Suits all ages and is not overly popular.

Floggingmolly · 12/05/2017 10:24

Yes.

WildCherryBlossom · 12/05/2017 10:25

I absolutely love it! Might have had it on my list if friends hadn't used it for their daughter shortly before I got pregnant with our first.

PippaFawcett · 12/05/2017 10:25

Love, love, LOVE it!!! If we had had a DD, she would have been called Georgia. Three DS's here Grin

The test for me is if I would want to be called it as an adult and I would love to be called Georgia! Go for it, OP!

RoganJosh · 12/05/2017 10:26

I do like it, but it sounds like George when you say 'Georgia's teddy' etc. It's only a small consideration, but one I wouldn't have noticed before meeting one IRL.

sleeplessinderbyshire · 12/05/2017 10:32

I love it. My husband didn't or one of mine would have been Georgia

RockyBird · 12/05/2017 10:33

I think it's great.

Snap8TheCat · 12/05/2017 10:34

Love it too! Was on our list if DS1 was a girl.

mintich · 12/05/2017 10:35

Love that name! Classy name that works equally well for children and adults

Piratesandpants · 12/05/2017 10:39

No sorry, it's the double 'g' sound I really don't like.

DonkeysDontRideBicycles · 12/05/2017 10:47

Yes like Georgia and how nice you and DP already agree on a name Smile. Although the Georgia I know is always shortened to Georgie.

Popskipiekin · 12/05/2017 10:51

Classy name. A cousin now grown up has suited the name from baby to adulthood and hasn't ever met another Georgia as far as I know.

onemumtwocountries · 12/05/2017 10:52

Love it! Would have been on our list but there's one in the immediate family.

Dozer · 12/05/2017 10:52

I like it.

SleepFreeZone · 12/05/2017 10:52

Yes it was my top choice but unfortunately I lost my little girl in pregnancy.

user1494533866 · 12/05/2017 10:53

No, sorry. I think it's frumpy.

zeeboo · 12/05/2017 10:53

No, I dislike it I'm afraid and most of the ones I know are from unpleasant families.

PippaFawcett · 12/05/2017 10:54

Sleep, I'm so sorry to hear that.

Iwasjustabouttosaythat · 12/05/2017 10:54

I like it but not Georgie. But I love George for a girl too.

SleepFreeZone · 12/05/2017 11:02

It's fine as I went on to have my wonderful second DS 💗

My top girls names were Georgia, Harriet and Charlotte (this was before the royal Charlotte was born!)

Scrumpernickel · 12/05/2017 11:03

Yes.

Vagndidit · 12/05/2017 11:06

Not my style. But I'm American and immediately connect it to "the State of..." And all its twangyness. Sorry.

GrouchyKiwi · 12/05/2017 11:10

I love it. Would have liked to call one of our daughters Georgia but DH doesn't like it.

It was on my list... it would have been DD2s name if i hadn't have spotted something else 3 weeks before she was born. I liked it as I would have called her Georgie...

SuperBeagle · 12/05/2017 11:22

I love it.
