Hello, thoughts on Wendy? We have a Betsy. We absolutely adore it. She's almost 6 weeks, so time is getting short. Thanks!

Do not call your children pretty identical names. I did and called them the wrong names all the time in a state of tired confusion.

Don't call your little one Wendy anyway it's just not that nice a name IMO. So many lovely ones out there.

OP, I get why you like it. I actually like 30s/40s/baby boomer names too. I also love Betsy, but I think of that as more Edwardian. So I'd go for something like Sylvia, Daphne, Pearl, Sally, Cora, Helen (at the moment I am loving Helen!), or Jean.

I love Wendy, I know a few and they're amazing people. I also love Betsy, my OH calls me that!

What a load of horrible comments about the name Wendy. I know a Wendy - she is strong, faithful and the best friend you could ever have.

Btw my kids name choices got pretty slaughtered when I asked on here and I still went with them! Go with what you love.

I don't think it's a very strong name. But I like strong names, you might not-if you love it use it!
