Elegant girls name with a short nickname?

I hope this is ok to ask here. This is for a novel I'm writing. I'm looking for a name for my character.

She is a lesbian who is artistic and quite punky. She comes from an upper middle class white background (goes to boarding school) and will have been given an elegant girly name, possibly something from a literary or artistic influence. But it needs to have a short, possibly unisex nickname that she will use with her friends. Born in about 2002 and is British.

She's a Catherine (I'm a Brontë fan!) but her friends call her Cat.

Back in 2002 I also considered Josephine, Madeleine or Rosalie.

She has friends her age called Florence, Tallulah, Elizabeth and Charlotte. All fit your description except maybe not upper MC.

I do like Catherine, and the nickname Cat, but it's my best friend's name so might be a bit tricky for me to separate them when writing her. A variation on the name might work.

I like Florence too but I can't think of a unisex nickname for it.
