I think we may have decided? Brother is Dylan.

Tia's really pretty, OP, and with a sweet name history.

As long as her middle name's not "Maria" ? Wink

Dylan is one of my favourite boys' names, so a good combination all round, I'd say.

Kelsey28 · 25/01/2017 05:26

I once knew a of a girl called Tia Mai. For ages I thought everyone was calling her TMA! Tia is a lovely name though. Everyone will know how to pronounce it but it's jot common.

ChequeredPasta · 25/01/2017 08:35

I can see why people like it, but it's a bit '90s' to me.
Much prefer Mia - I actually know of two year old twins called Dylan and Mia!

But, if you like it OP, go for it!

Tia is beautiful. And not too common/popular at the moment.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 25/01/2017 09:12

Dylan and Tia, perfect !

elQuintoConyo · 25/01/2017 09:15

Tia is lovely.

Mia is bland.

Dylan and Tia sound nice together.

If anyone does the whole 'Tia Maria' joking bollocks, just completely deadpan them!

Tia in Spanish is aunt, which is lovely.

AutumnalLeaves38 · 25/01/2017 10:54

elQuintoConyo,

Do I need to consider myself deadpanned, then?! Blush

DramaAlpaca · 25/01/2017 10:55

Very pretty, and goes well with Dylan.

Notso · 25/01/2017 11:21

I don't like it at all.

MarmiteDoesYouGood · 25/01/2017 11:51

As a Spanish speaker it sounds weird as a name to me.

elQuintoConyo · 25/01/2017 11:56

Autumnal just one raised eyebrow Grin

I live in Spain with a Spanish DH and I don't think it is weird. It wouldn't work here, that's not to say it wouldn't work in the UK. DS has a Tia Maria and she loves her moniker!

It isn't like Tia = Spanish for bumhole, or something.

MrsSchadenfreude · 25/01/2017 11:59

Nice. I have an Estonian friend called Tiia.

joannegrady90 · 25/01/2017 18:01

Not keen on it at all.

Went to school with a few Tias. All chavvey and very much similar.

VanillaSugar · 25/01/2017 18:03

Tia Maria Grin

MollyHuaCha · 25/01/2017 18:06

Tia is really lovely.

pinkieandperkie · 25/01/2017 18:08

I went to school with a lovely girl called Ria.

indigo13 · 25/01/2017 18:28

Its very pretty but there's not enough to it for me

EssentialHummus · 25/01/2017 18:31

Lovely

novelsandnaps · 25/01/2017 18:36

I know a wonderful Tia, not chavvy whatsoever. She has also lived in Spain and no problems with the name there. x

Sadfacehappyface · 25/01/2017 18:47

I really like the name Tia but it always makes me think of Thanks In Advance when I see the name. I also think Missing In Action when I see the name Mia.

leccybill · 25/01/2017 18:55

I like Rhea. Heard this recently and liked it.

Tia is the 00s version of the 80s Tina.
I also know a staff bull terrier called Tia.

MrsSchadenfreude · 26/01/2017 20:56

Rhea End, though?!

Joeybee · 26/01/2017 21:03

For me it's too cutesy, I can't see a woman called Tia being taken seriously. However as nn for something I think it's ace.

MrsMoastyToasty · 26/01/2017 21:05

Tia spelled with an accent over the "i" is Spanish for aunty.
