i really like names that are quite masculine and are either unisex or seen as more male

for example the names for girls that i like are james, andi, frances, bobbie, Robyn, Jaime, charley and billie.

What are you opinions on using unisex/more masculine names for a girl

I like Rae

Yes, Innes and Ines or Inez are completely different names.

I really like Andi, Billie, Toni and Charlie for girls.

I love the name Ryan for a girl and Shannon for a boy.

BertrandRussell · 24/01/2017 08:33

Do you not think that Ryan and Shannon might find it a bit tiresome to spend their whole lives with people assuming they are the opposite sex?

Quite apart from the practicalities- my niece was once stranded at an airport in America at 1 in the morning because the person who came to meet her assumed that Dr Sam "Russell" was a man..............

NameChange30 · 24/01/2017 12:43

Well yes because Dr + unisex first name must be a man!

Tabitha maybe? Also, how do you feel about ... Alexandra?

VanillaSugar · 24/01/2017 12:49

A distant relative in law called her DD Sydney.

The Mitford girls' mother was called Sydney.
