Been a while since I posted one of these threads.
The government has passed a new law - you MUST name your children after a North London borough.

What would you choose?

You must choose one boy and one girl.

Official rules allow hyphenation, but no shortening of the name.

Special North London Borough Rules - Boroughs with "and" in the name, may be split into separate names (e.g. Dagenham and Barking, you can choose either Dagenham or Barking)

Barking and Dagenham
Barnet
Brent
Camden
Ealing
Enfield
Hackney
Hammersmith and Fulham
Haringey
Harrow
Havering
Hillingdon
Hounslow
Islington
Kensington and Chelsea
Newham
Redbridge
Tower Hamlets
Waltham Forest
Westminster

I'm going to ignore the rules and go for Hanger Lane Gyratory.

But, checking the map, Perivale is nice for a girl - possibly pronounced as as Periv-Ali

It's only a matter of time before some mentions the Crescent of Mornington Smile

Girl - Haringey

Boy - Camden

Twins Arsenal (boy) and Angel (girl)

Girl: Camden
Boy: Harrow

Why North London?

Snobs.

Girl: Isla (like Isla Fisher), some people would call her Izzie for short, nobody would ever know her full name was Islington.

Boy: Harry - people might think he was short for Harold or perhaps Henry (Prince Harry is Henry y'know), but it's actually Harrow.

I like Camden and Kensington, i think Kensy is nice. I feel they'd work for either sex

Southwark. So I can secretly snigger at people mispronouncing it. And mispelling it.

I'm not a nice person, am i? Blush

Barbi (can) for a girl.

CordeliaFrost · 16/01/2017 18:37

Boy - Camden (Cam)

Girl - Kensington (Kenzie)

This would only be under duress though.

If you can put aside the slang term, Barnet would be OK for a boy, gives the nickname Barney.

I see some of you can't follow simple reasonable laws Grin
