If you HAD to name your child after a borough of North London...

Been a while since I posted one of these threads.
The government has passed a new law - you MUST name your children after a North London borough.

What would you choose?

You must choose one boy and one girl.

Official rules allow hyphenation, but no shortening of the name.

Special North London Borough Rules - Boroughs with "and" in the name, may be split into separate names (e.g. Dagenham and Barking, you can choose either Dagenham or Barking)

Hammersmith and Fulham

Camden for a boy.

Islington (Isla) for a girl.

Although, Hammersmith is rather Led Zeppelin sounding, and Tower Hamlets has a real Shakespearean charm.

Another Isla (Islington) from me, and West(minster) for a boy.

Having said that if we were considering s. London I'd completely go with Lewis(ham) and Camberwell (or Dulwich, nn Dulcie?).

I like Haringey for a boy.
Camden for a girl.

Ktay It isn't me defining North London - it's the government, they just sent me the prescribed list

This list includes all boroughs included in the Boundary Commission area.

Brent Camden and Harrow are the only realistic ones surely?

Barnet for a girl then I would coiff her with a beehive in the hope they come back in fashion.

Islington. I used to live there.

All the best names have been taken so I shall be going against the Government and instead plumping for tube stations on the District line. I hope I won't be jailed for my non-conformist decision.
