Is it too much...?

Do you like all of those movies an awful lot?

tygr · 30/12/2016 01:49

Only if you also have an Oklahoma!

Slocky · 30/12/2016 02:00

Not particularly! I just love the names... I have 2 of them already but never made the connection and then when we had found a name we love, we looked at them all and saw it!

I think it's fine.

Oliver and Matilda are very popular names, so their association with the movies has diminished significantly. Annie is the only one which might still immediately bring to mind the movie.

RobinSnood · 30/12/2016 06:30

Yes

nuttyknitter · 30/12/2016 07:03

Go for it! They're all lovely names.

Manumission · 30/12/2016 07:13

You probably will get taken for a musical obsessive from time to time. Do you mind?

Zoflorabore · 30/12/2016 07:17

I have an Oliver so am biased ;)

Yes of course you can- I know a family that have a Holly and Molly ( not twins ) and a family that have a Ollie and Molly!

Your names are great :)

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 30/12/2016 07:26

I think you can. Written down it looks an obvious connection, but don't think when said it does.

Only1scoop · 30/12/2016 07:26

NooooShock

shirkingworking · 30/12/2016 07:43

Yes! But I'm (very) biased. Is 'Annie' a nickname for Ann/Anne?

Decemberrat · 30/12/2016 07:52

I don't know... are you opening an orphanage? Grin

Raines100 · 30/12/2016 07:55

As long as you haven't spelt it Oliver! Then I think you're ok.

stillwantrachelshair · 30/12/2016 08:05

I think this is one of those sibling sets which might not dawn on me at first but, when it did, would make me smile to myself and, if I got to know you well, would probably ask about if names ever came up in conversation. I say go for it.
I think you have to have twins next called Oklahoma (as a PP suggested) and Chicago!

friskybivalves · 30/12/2016 08:16

Only if you also have Cats.

AmberEars · 30/12/2016 08:19

Agree that you may find that people chuckle about it and ask "do you realise...?" Would that annoy you?

Rainatnight · 30/12/2016 08:20

I would just think you really, really loved musicals.

SerialReJoiner · 30/12/2016 08:30

I wouldn't see it as a problem. Sibling names are only really discussed / noticed when the children are small, aren't they? As an adult, I don't really have cause to talk about my siblings by name to people in my day to day life.

Purplebluebird · 30/12/2016 08:38

I like those names, together and on their own :)

DurhamDurham · 30/12/2016 08:55

Lovely names.......of course you'd have to be a very musical family with lots of jazz hands at the breakfast table! Smile

MelanieCheeks · 30/12/2016 08:57

And every day will have to start with a family rendition of "Good Mornin;, good mornin'". complete with tap dancing down the hallway.Star

Lovely names, all.

BakeOffBiscuits · 30/12/2016 08:57

Are you thinking of having another one and naming him Joseph?

As soon as I saw the thread title I thought - god no, it's so obvious!

primarynoodle · 30/12/2016 09:03

I have an Annie, it didn't occur to me about the film as she's named after family members but I have had a few comments.

I think they're beautiful names though so go for it!

SleepFreeZone · 30/12/2016 09:04

Yep you can 👍

HerculesMulligan · 30/12/2016 09:06

Oh I totally would!
