My DP and I have got it down to 6. Wondering if anyone can help us get a bit further??

Names left are:
David
Gavin
John
Jonathan
Michael
Peter

As you can tell we like names that aren't used much anymore but are still well known. These are definitely our final 6. Thanks!!

I've tought two little Michaels over the past ten years. Both were adorable, bubbly little boys and made me really fond of the name.
One was always just Michael. The other was mikey for short.

ABCFamily · 30/11/2016 16:04

Peter is my favourite, followed by David and John.

Don't like Gavin at all.

BertrandRussell · 30/11/2016 16:07

Michael.

Then Peter, then Jonathan.(shortened, if he'll let you, to Jonny)

myoriginal3 · 30/11/2016 16:09

I must be the only one who associates Peter with old bachelors.

Blomme · 30/11/2016 16:11

Peter or Michael.

birdybirdywoofwoof · 30/11/2016 16:16

Michael is lovely

(Was lovely- godfather fan!) Mikey is cute for a young un.

David is nice. And johny

What's wrong with baby Steve? :)

akorda · 30/11/2016 21:09

David and Peter are great. Def no Gavin for reasons others have said. Funnily enough I know three Peters under 6! Must be a very unusual cluster though as, nationally, I think it's way down in the three hundreds or so!

rainbow99 · 30/11/2016 21:56

Michael nn Mikey would be my preference from the list. Gavin is awful, sorry

Alyx80 · 30/11/2016 21:59

Michael. I don't like any of the others sorry.

WhiteHairReally · 01/12/2016 02:52

Another admitting to Gavin being a 'guilty pleasure' name. I associate it with shiny haired bowl haircuts and skinny polo necks in 1970s colours ( brown/yellow/orange stripes)
All the other names on your list, with the exception of Jonathan are close family members' names. I have to admit that I've always viewed Jonathan as a 'little boy's name' like Timothy.

AmyC86 · 01/12/2016 08:53

Hate Gavin

David & John are those timeless names.

Jonathan I like. Have you considered Peeta (the spelling of Peter from the hunger games trilogy)

MackerelOfFact · 01/12/2016 08:59

Jonathan or David for me.

I have an irrational dislike of Michael and all its diminutives!

SausageSoda · 01/12/2016 17:36

John for me. Peter at a push.

bluechameleon · 01/12/2016 23:01

I live Jonathan. I also like David, Peter and Michael.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 01/12/2016 23:55

What refreshing names. David and Gavin are the nicest. I'm not thrilled about Johnathan, though

Baseballcupcakes · 02/12/2016 08:56

John - such a classic

Peter also lovely.

UnicornPee · 02/12/2016 22:54

David or Micheal.

The rest are horrible and would be cruel if you called your baby them

NotYoda · 03/12/2016 08:02

Michael or David

John a close second/third

What about Patrick?

SorenaJ · 03/12/2016 09:15

Prefer Michael or David. Like Peter as well.

DollyPlastic · 03/12/2016 09:19

Dave, Gav and Pete are a no from me.

Go for Michael or Jonathan.

RebelandaStunner · 03/12/2016 12:23

Like David, John and Jonathon.

Don't like Gavin.

ViewBasket · 03/12/2016 12:29

I like David, John and Peter, all classic names but not super-popular at the moment.
