Surname will be Leeming.

Is the alliteration too much?

I think Romilly can sound nice with an alliterative middle name - Romilly Ruth for example - but I don't think Romilly Raphaela sounds quite right, it's a bit of a mouthful.

CondensedMilkSarnies · 12/11/2016 18:26

I think so . I like both names but would drop Romilly and have Raphaela (new middle name ) Leeming .

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 12/11/2016 18:28

Love love love Romilly.

Middle name really doesn't matter.

AnnetteKertan · 12/11/2016 18:31

Romilly Raphaella is divine.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 12/11/2016 18:31

Romilly Rachel Leeming
Romilly Rochelle Leeming
Raphaella Romilly Leeming

nooka · 12/11/2016 18:54

Romilly is cool, Raphaela isn't really to my taste but I think the name as a whole works well. RR Leeming has a certain ring to it too.

SpunkyMummy · 12/11/2016 19:10

I like it.

Pixilicious · 12/11/2016 19:11

Ooh love it!! As you don't normally use your middle name the alliteration is fine.

Overthinker2016 · 12/11/2016 19:33

I think it's a bit of a tongue twister / too many syllables

chatnanny · 12/11/2016 19:35

I love it!

Saucery · 12/11/2016 19:36

Love it.

ThoraGruntwhistle · 12/11/2016 19:38

I've never liked Romilly (it sounds like a weird adjective or something) but I like Raphaela.

EllenDegenerate · 12/11/2016 19:42

Thank you 😊

Baby will be here in two weeks six days so trying v.hard to have a loose idea of a name before then.

I like Raphaela but not Romilly, and the alliteration is too much.

AuntJane · 12/11/2016 21:11

Prefer Romanie to Romilly - but my main concern is if she grows up with a slight speech defect, and can't pronounce R (like Jonathan Woss).

Gruffalosfriend · 12/11/2016 21:47

Raphaela is beautiful and much nicer and more feminine than Romilly, so I'd use that as first name.

PoldarksBreeches · 12/11/2016 21:51

Far too much both together.

CremeEggThief · 12/11/2016 21:52

One or the other, together they are way, way too much.

Raines100 · 12/11/2016 22:11

Ellen what's the story with Raphaela? You keep coming back to it. Are you set on it as a middle name, perhaps to honour a family member, or are you in love with this name and need someone to point it out? Smile

Buntysoven · 13/11/2016 01:17

She'll mainly be known as Romilly Leeming which I don't think flows very well and is hard to say.

DoYouRememberJustinBobby · 13/11/2016 07:15

Beautiful name.

EllenDegenerate · 13/11/2016 08:03

Raines nobody in either family is named Raphaela so that's not the reason that I keep coming back to it, fact is I really do like it a lot.
Unfortunately I have a real aversion to the name Ella/Ellie and it's somewhat inevitable that it will be shortened to this at least when she starts school. This really puts me off using it as a first name, I also like Romilly lots but similarly I dislike Romy although that particular NN is probably less intuitive than Ella for Raphaella.

It's definitely between these two names in any case and I may just have to remain undecided until I can set eyes upon this baby (who may yet still be a boy) 😂

Personally I think both names are beautiful, but do feel like a mouthful.

And I hate to say it, but the double L sound with both sounds a mouthful with your surname.

SausageSoda · 13/11/2016 12:14

Raphaelia isn't to my taste but I think it works well - Romilly Raphaelia is certainly a name with presence

PopsicleBopsicle · 13/11/2016 12:17

My sister is a Raphaella and has never been called Ella
