I know a young Rupert who gets Roo. He's lovely!

CakeRattleandRoll · 11/10/2016 00:42

Love Ossian, but would use Osian spelling. Would have been top of the list for DD.

dovesong · 11/10/2016 00:48

Gilbert, because Gilbert Blythe is the most wonderful romantic hero of all time.

chattygranny · 11/10/2016 01:18

I like the last four. We know a teenage Rupert, he's happy and confident.

Fanny, I don't know how the Welsh pronounce Osian, but Ossian would be pronounced like Oss, not Osh and not Oz and also not Ohz and then like the boys name Ian. Love Oscar, but its becoming too popular and thought this was another Celtic alternative that sounds a bit like Oscar!!!

Gilbert or Hugo

JeanLouiseFinch · 11/10/2016 21:28

Hugo by a light year

Then Ossian

BeastofCraggyIsland · 11/10/2016 21:34

From that list, Hugo or Fergus. Gil is ok, but Gilbert not so great.

Percy is the wettest name in existence, with Torquil not far behind, and 'Oss-ian' sounds like someone from Yorkshire saying what their horse is called.

Of all the names you've mentioned though James and Henry are by far the nicest, they're both lovely.

Purplebluebird · 11/10/2016 21:40

Hugo by a mile!
