Hello All,
So baby is three days old and we've just decided on a name, but are now struggling with the spelling!
Any insights/considerations?

I love the way Ruben sounds, but not sure which spelling to go for,

Ruben
Reuben
Rueben

Reuben is the traditional way, I'd stick with that.

Ida3456 · 25/09/2016 19:09

Definitely Reuben

SellFridges · 25/09/2016 19:12

Reuben.

Ruben is Spanish I think.

Rueben is just incorrect.

AnotherUsernameBitesTheDust · 25/09/2016 19:19

Reuben because that's the way I spelled it for my DS.

Ruben is a perfectly acceptable alternative.

Rueben is just an incorrect spelling, it's not right, ever.

theothersideoftheworld · 25/09/2016 19:22

I've got a Reuben . Fab choice 😄

ShmooBooMoo · 25/09/2016 19:23

As it should be: Reuben.

DS2 has a Rueben in his class.

Spell it Reuben like 99% of the world.

Caldini22 · 25/09/2016 19:44

Reuben

5minutestobed · 25/09/2016 19:46

Reuben as that's the normal way to spell it!

WhirlwindHugs · 25/09/2016 19:53

Reuben is the most common.

It will still get repeatedly misspelled though! The most confusing we've had so far is Rubin...

eurochick · 25/09/2016 20:06

Reuben. Anything else would be 'yoonique'.

lostindevon · 25/09/2016 20:07

Aww thank you everyone.
Reuben it is!
That's the spelling we prefer and "if it ain't broke" etc etc!!

Reuben Smile

user1471552178 · 28/09/2016 22:13

Reuben

Pigilene · 28/04/2018 06:43

Mrs Hathaway: Ruben -Not sure about the 'mispronounced or other names it will muddled with', Ruben is just the Spanish variation, with the accent on the e :)

Great that you have taken the time to ask, I'm currently teaching in Australia, where it seems the spelling of names is very much a free for all: Adin (Adian), Jessiyca - always have to ask!

chezmk1988 · 28/04/2018 14:02

Reuben

LoveInTokyo · 28/04/2018 14:27

Definitely Reuben.

Rueben is just a misspelling. Never heard of Ruben.

MikeUniformMike · 28/04/2018 14:53

Reuben. Ruben or Rubin are OK, Rueben isn't.
I don't particularly like it.
