I don't hate it.

Dennis Mark is almost Denmark. Actually Dennis Mark is a bit Thatcher so.. Denmark lyder godt :-p

Merthyr Tidfyl.

"Good morning, I'm Denmark Jones."

Do you know, I'm warming to it.

"Denmark Jones is now approaching Buckingham Palace for his first meeting with the Queen as Prime Minister."

I think I rather like it.

Probably won't work though if your surname isn't Jones.

MakemineaGandT · 01/09/2016 22:11

😂 No

bearleftmonkeyright · 01/09/2016 22:15

Denmark Jones has been named as the new James Bond.

Millionaire philanthropist Denmark Jones builds orphanage.

Denmark Jones was evicted from the BB house tonight after beating one of his fellow contestants after a heated argument about Brahms.

Greaterthanthesumoftheparts · 01/09/2016 22:37

punkrocker Milton Keynes was actually a person, an economist if I recall correctly.

Greaterthanthesumoftheparts · 01/09/2016 22:39

Or a combination of two people but not such a problem name!

Lessthanaballpark · 01/09/2016 22:46

John Maynard Keynes was a famous economist.

blueistheonlycolourwefeel · 01/09/2016 22:53

AxelB7 · 01/09/2016 23:06

LineyReborn · 01/09/2016 23:11

That list of yours, OP, includes the names Bloody and Dust.

Use them.

Hyphenated.

CancellyMcChequeface · 01/09/2016 23:13

Milton Keynes or John Friedman? Grin

AxelB7 · 01/09/2016 23:14

Axel- do you have a connection to Denmark? The name Axel is Danish iirc. If you have no connection to the country then sorry I think it's daft.

Blackberryandapplejam · 01/09/2016 23:30

marginally better than Harlow.

Costacoffeeplease · 01/09/2016 23:34

Bloody-dustGrin

Genius

omri · 01/09/2016 23:34

Ironically, I don't think you'd be allowed to name your baby Denmark in Denmark! Grin
They have v strict naming laws

FinnegansCake · 01/09/2016 23:35

hmm, you'd be able to use Den as a nickname.

Personally I prefer something with a South American vibe, like
Nicaragua (nickname Nicar)
Brazil (nickname Bra)

princessdave · 02/09/2016 21:39

There's a blogger in the US that has a Holland, girl I think. So Denmark to me = blogger baby name in Utah...

And also ROFL at Basingstoke as I sit on my sofa in said town reading about baby names Grin

user1472934164 · 03/09/2016 22:25

What about Austin? Or Oakley, Ashton, Aston?

I have to agree that I'm not keen on Denmark but reckon there are some slightly more common place names or similar sounding names that would be less 'out there'
