Hi, recently been looking on a name website, Denmark came up. I thought it was lovely! You could NN him Den/Denny/Mark. We are fans of place names, on our list:

  • Boston
  • Brooklyn
  • Cody
  • Devon
  • Lincoln
Thoughts?

Er no. Ludicrous. You're naming a human being. Think hard before you saddle a child with a name because you " like place names"

IF there's an Uncle Bulgaria....

bearleftmonkeyright · 01/09/2016 20:30

If you called him Dane what about if he became a Great Uncle?

EmpressKnowsWhereHerTowelIs · 01/09/2016 20:31

How about Basingstoke?

monkeygone · 01/09/2016 20:32

How about Basingstoke?

nn Bae

SorenaJ · 01/09/2016 20:35

It's a no from me. I second the suggestion of Dane. From your list I like Cody and Lincoln the best.

bearleftmonkeyright · 01/09/2016 20:36

Bae! I've just learnt what that means from my teenage offspring. He's my bae. Apparently means before anyone else. They all talk in abbreviations.

ChardonnayKnickertonSmythe · 01/09/2016 20:36

Basingstoke for a girl, obvs.

OP needs a name for a boy, please stay on topic.

allegretto · 01/09/2016 20:36

I like it.

bearleftmonkeyright · 01/09/2016 20:38

Sorry Chardonnay Smile. I like Cody best. My second choice would be Devon. Sorry for being daft. Congratulations.

NerrSnerr · 01/09/2016 20:39

I'm currently pregnant. Am now considering The Netherlands for a girl. Maybe it should be hyphenated?

AxelB7 · 01/09/2016 20:40

Okay! Maybe it's just the hormones Grin maybe the website shouldn't suggest the name to heavily pregnant women Grin we won't add it to the list then!

You probably shouldn't trust any website that suggests "Bloody" as a name for your child, to be honest.

There was a cricketer called Devon Malcolm. Think he was a fast bowler.

HopelesslydevotedtoGu · 01/09/2016 20:44

Plaintalkin · 01/09/2016 20:45

Poor little chap!

Obliviated · 01/09/2016 20:46

When I was heavily pregnant with DS I decided I was going to call him either Merlin or Moriarty. To much time spent watching TV.

passingthrough1 · 01/09/2016 20:51

Well it's better than Brooklyn also on your list ... Grin

IfartInYourGeneralDirection · 01/09/2016 20:52

Baby Moriaty Grin

PunkrockerGirl · 01/09/2016 20:52

Milton Keynes has a nice ring to it, saves having to think of a middle name.
If you want to go for a country, why not Switzerland, Belgium, England or Scotland?

ChardonnayKnickertonSmythe · 01/09/2016 20:53
