Christmassy boys names

We are expecting DC3 in December. Not looking for girl's names - DC1 & 2 are boys, so we've got a good idea of favourite girl's names for our shortlist.

One thing we've considered is whether to have a seasonal name, but we're struggling to think of many boy ones except Noel and Robin, which neither of us like. Any Christmassy boy's name suggestions?

I wanted Santa, I was over ruled! (maybe a good thing)

I was going to suggest not going seasonal but actually there's some really nice names on here that I didn't realise were Christmassy!
Also, I'm mid-30s and I went to school with a 'Nicholas' and we teased him mercilessly about being knicker-less Blush

MrsGsnow - Melchior, Caspar, and Balthazar are the Three Wise Men who travelled to Bethlehem to see the baby Jesus.

Although I've just noticed I spelt Caspar as Casper upthread Blush

I love the name Gabriel. Also really like Casper and Nicholas.
Other ideas:
Jack (Frost)
Christian
Yule (all I think of is log after Yule but it's a name so...)
Clement

There was a bloke called Christmas Humphreys, funnily enough famous for his books on Buddhism.Grin

Rex?

Winter or Gabriel

Shemozzle · 31/08/2016 23:36

I am due Christmas Day and some of these are on our shortlist! We've been calling bump Jesus but the shortlist is Rudy, Something else not Christmassy or Sylvester (Sully) which I didn't know was related to Christmas. We think Robin for a middle name boy or girl. Family have been trying to convince us on Comet which I do actually like! I had Caspar on my shortlist for my first ten years ago, but thought it had got too popular now. Might reconsider it. None on our girls list are Christmassy.

Frankie!

Caspar's not popular at all where I live. Is it one that's suddenly started getting a lot more popular?

Had a quick look on darkgreener baby names.

Caspar was ranked at 583rd most popular boys name in England and Wales in 2014, and Casper at 269th. Both have risen in popularity since 1996 - Casper more so - but still way out of the top 100.

John after John MacLaine from the best Christmas movie, die hard.

Shemozzle · 01/09/2016 22:57

mrsjoeymaynard I looked on dark greener last night too and was pleasantly surprised to find it wasn't as popular as I anticipated. I'd just heard of it several times on TV and forums over the years since first wanting it 9 years ago so I had misjudged, so it's back on my shortlist now Smile

I love Noel
