Help me decide! Which of these 3 girls names do you prefer?

I'm finding choosing a girls name very tricky! I want a shortish pretty name. I have a 2 year old boy called Jasper.

So I I have narrowed my list down to:

Cleo
Esme
Elodie

Which is your favourite? Please be honest if you don't like any.., I'm still busy looking at names every day ...

What about Eloise? Quite similar to Elodie and esme but I think it's nicer.

Clara and Eliza as mentioned also very good

Sophronia · 09/08/2016 06:31

Cleo!

GRW · 09/08/2016 06:42

If you like Chloe but want something not as popular how about Zoe?

bigroundlady · 09/08/2016 07:57

My friend has just called her little girl Zoe and my Sister is called Louise, so wouldn't want to use Eloise.

I think I'm going to search again. Inspiration appreciated!

Cleo

BendydickCuminsnatch · 09/08/2016 08:24

Cleo by FAR!

Owlytellsmesecrets · 09/08/2016 08:26

I love Cleo ... But that's because DD 5 is called Cleo. Believe it or not it gets shortened to Cle!!!

RickOShay · 09/08/2016 08:26

Cleo, or xanthe, as already suggested.

orangebird69 · 09/08/2016 08:28

Cleo is lovely. Elodie sounds like it's missing it's first letter. Esme is nice but common.

babyblabber · 09/08/2016 09:35

Esme.

I was talking about an Elodie the other day and my friend's DH was like "Aldi?!!!!" Put me off it!

GinandTits · 09/08/2016 09:40

Another vote for Cleo!

TheDowagerCuntess · 09/08/2016 09:44

Cleo is fab, and sounds great with Jasper.

BowiesJumper · 09/08/2016 10:01

I love Cleo, or Clara, or clementine?

MrsGsnow18 · 09/08/2016 10:07

I love the name Jasper BTW Smile
I think Clara is lovely and goes well with Jasper, it's not too far away from your original list but avoids twilight connections/car models etc.

Tarttlet · 09/08/2016 10:09

If you like Florence, what about Constance?

2016Hopeful · 09/08/2016 10:11

I love Esme

Cleo OK.

Elodie - not keen, might sound better with French accent though!

user1467707582 · 09/08/2016 10:35

Cleo

BuntyFigglesworthSpiffington · 09/08/2016 11:28

Cleo.

Brilliant name.

MelCookie · 09/08/2016 12:21

Eek, not keen on any I'm afraid! Unhelpful, sorry.

Meeep · 09/08/2016 12:32

Cleo is better than any of the other names mentioned and it goes really well with Jasper.

Notso · 09/08/2016 12:37

Cleo is lovely.

Elodie is ok.

Esme is horrible.

prettypinklady · 09/08/2016 12:38

Esme!

bigroundlady · 09/08/2016 14:38

Thanks for all your replies . I'm glad you haven't all told me that Cleo is in fact a cats name!

I think that I prefer Cleo and Clara instead of Esme/Elodie.

I do really like Xanthe too, but I had to google to see how to pronounce it. It's not a name I've ever come across which is appealing but wonder whether people generally have problems with pronunciation ( or just me!)

Xanthe / Zanthe are both pronounced "zan-thee"
I love it.

Unfortunately we used it for a middle name already otherwise that would be dd3's name sorted (currently 20 weeks)
