Help me decide! Which of these 3 girls names do you prefer?

I'm finding choosing a girls name very tricky! I want a shortish pretty name. I have a 2 year old boy called Jasper.

So I I have narrowed my list down to:

Cleo
Esme
Elodie

Which is your favourite? Please be honest if you don't like any.., I'm still busy looking at names every day ...

Cleo

rosiegarden · 08/08/2016 23:07

Not Cleo, sounds like the Renault even if it's spelt differently. Elodie has an acute on the E - bit fussy? I'd choose Esme but then I like classic names.

silverduck · 08/08/2016 23:08

Cleo!

phoolani · 08/08/2016 23:13

I love Elodie and considered it for dd, but my French friends all wrinkled their noses when I suggested it. Seems it was considered a bit 'chavvy' for want of a better translation..

SixFeetUnder · 08/08/2016 23:18

Love them all but think Jasper and Elodie sound lovely together.

0pti0na1 · 08/08/2016 23:20

Elodie

TempsPerdu · 08/08/2016 23:22

Cleo - lovely!

Just5minswithDacre · 08/08/2016 23:23

This voting thing isn't really settling it is it? Were you hoping it would?

purplepaisley · 08/08/2016 23:24

Another vote for Cleo.

Ankleswingers · 08/08/2016 23:25

Cleo definitely Smile

bigroundlady · 08/08/2016 23:31

Oh, I've never seen Twilight!! Thanks for pointing that out. Esme is definitely out.

I never associated Cleo with the car.... Good point Confused I thought Cleo was pretty. However, we do have a children's book called Casper and Cleo ( about a dog and cat!) which put me off slightly!

I have liked Elodie for a while but just feel it's not quite the one,

The other names which I like are
Jemima (excluded as only like the full name, not shortened variations)
Penelope (too long)
Chloe ( too popular)
Florence ( doesn't go with surname)

Maybe I need to rethink!

Just5minswithDacre- no it isn't!! It's made me rethink all three names though!

Rumer?
Manon?
Coco?

Joinourclub · 08/08/2016 23:41

My vote goes for Cleo. I like Esme, but is it Ez -me or Ez-may? I also like Elodie, but think it just sounds too much like saying the letters L.O.D

Floralnomad · 08/08/2016 23:47

I don't like the original 3 , I think Chloe goes well with Jasper , is it really that popular now I thought it was more popular about 10-15 yrs ago .

DramaAlpaca · 08/08/2016 23:50

From your list, Elodie or Cleo. Not Esme.

Clara?

Rainbowunicorn73 · 08/08/2016 23:53

Love Elodie, it's one of my favourites.

TheWindInThePillows · 08/08/2016 23:57

Cleo or Elodie are lovely names.

Of the others, I like Penelope, but when I was a little girl, I thought it was said 'Penny-lope'. I think of Penelope Keith as well, very classy!

bigroundlady · 08/08/2016 23:57

Esme is definitely out because of the twilight thing.

Clara was originally on my list and can't remember why it went! I do like that.

I've just noticed the name Eliza on another thread which I also quite like.

Sorry, my final three names I asked you to choose from appear not to be so final

Esme is my favourite.

Inthepalemoonlight · 09/08/2016 00:02

Elodie.

afatalflaw · 09/08/2016 00:03

I always think Jemima and Tabitha are similar - in my mind anyway, I think of cats and gingham for some reason.

LadyB49 · 09/08/2016 00:04

Cleo..... I think of Carry on Cleo movie.

dotdotdotmustdash · 09/08/2016 00:33

My cat was Jasper, we had his sister too - Lucy.

Other options below, but I do think Elodie is lovely.
Alexa
Mhairi (Varri)
Seren
Leah
Hannah
Rowan

EllenDegenerate · 09/08/2016 01:31

Cleo.

So much nicer than the others.
