We love the name Eira but don't want her to have to correct people on how to pronounce her name her whole life... so thought a straw poll would help us decide how intuitive it is.
Thanks so much!

Ay-ra is how I pronounce it - from North Wales

Are you expecting a girl or a boy? You mention both Eira, which is lovely and a girl's name, and Ira, which is a boy's name?

Era for me. As in a period of time. Ay-ra sounds prettier though

Girl but we like gender neutral names..

Ay-ra. It's my friend's daughter's name and that's how they pronounce it.
