I love it :-)

julfin · 05/05/2016 20:56

It's nice. I've also heard it's quite popular at the mo (if that makes a difference to you).

ScarlettOverkill · 05/05/2016 21:04

@julfin, thank you. It does make a difference to me, but thankfully it's rather uncommon where I am.

As in Lovelace!? Gorgeous Smile

Laniakea · 05/05/2016 21:06

love it :)

(& immediately think Ada Lovelace which is not a bad association!)

Coldtoeswarmheart · 05/05/2016 21:07

Don't like it.

Winterbiscuit · 05/05/2016 21:20

I like it.

PattyPenguin · 05/05/2016 21:22

It was the name of one of my grandmothers, born around 1890. On that basis alone, due for a comeback.

ScarlettOverkill · 05/05/2016 21:23

I got the idea from Peaky Blinders!

Lovely. It's really underused compared to Ava etc

I love Alma too

butteredmuffin · 05/05/2016 22:02

I like it.

I also like Ida (pronounced Eeda).

Sophronia · 05/05/2016 23:46

I like it, it's a nice alternative to Ada. Also like Adah which is a Biblical name.

FlowerOfTheWest · 05/05/2016 23:49

Love it! I only know of one wee Ada.

Littleroundtable · 06/05/2016 00:01

I thought Ida was pronounced Eye-da

I like Ada

Better than Ava

Littleroundtable · 06/05/2016 00:02

How would you spell the name that's pronounced eye-da?

mrsschu · 06/05/2016 00:26

Hmmm it's ok, don't love it. Know a couple of them under 1.

amysmummy12345 · 06/05/2016 00:30

DD1 was going to be Ada May after my dh granny, tempted to go with it for dd2

MadameDePompom · 06/05/2016 00:43

It's very frumpy. Like Beryl and Doris.

unicornthong · 06/05/2016 01:08

LOVE LOVE LOVE!

NadiaWadia · 06/05/2016 04:08

Littleround - I was sure that Ida was pronounced 'eye-da' too! At least in the UK, anyway.

NoncommittalToSparkleMotion · 06/05/2016 04:37

Love it.

butteredmuffin · 06/05/2016 07:58

You can pronounce Ida either way but I don't think "eye-da" is very elegant!

BendydickCuminsnatch · 06/05/2016 08:52

Our chosen girl's name (Adelaide for long). Loosely after Ada Lovelace!!

Alisvolatpropiis · 06/05/2016 09:25

I like it. I know of two who would be pre-school sort of age. Not from the same areas.

AvengingGerbil · 06/05/2016 09:34

I'm sorry, but "bleedin' Ada" is a term of disbelief where (and when) I come from.
