Not my cup of tea personally. I don't like Aurora either though, and they sound quite similar so that makes sense. Smile Also might sound like 'adore her' in some accents (where I live for example - so this might put me off).

NetballHoop · 27/04/2016 12:37

My first thought was Kia Ora

SnakeWitch · 27/04/2016 12:39

Don't know if this will mean anything to you but SheRa was really called Adora in the cartoon.

ProphetOfDoom · 27/04/2016 12:39

No

FindingTheRightName · 27/04/2016 12:41

I had a still-born named Heavenly. These comments make me sad Sad

Kia Ora. soz.

MitzyLeFrouf · 27/04/2016 12:47

I think of Kia Ora too.

It's too orangey for crows!

LadyAntonella · 27/04/2016 12:54

Sorry to hear that OP. Flowers for you.

ABitAsleep · 27/04/2016 12:59

I hope your surname is bull.

At the end of the day it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks. She probs would get called adorable at school at some point but that will be annoying rather than anything else. My name is a song title and I learnt to own it rather than get annoyed with it. Also, how many boys called Richard get called Dick at school? I wouldn't worry.

MiddleClassProblem · 27/04/2016 13:08

Btw I meant loads of boys get called dick but it is still very common

MidnightVelvetthe5th · 27/04/2016 13:11

First thought is Terry Pratchett & his character Adora Dearheart.

I don't like it, it belongs in the same category as Angel, Dreambelle, Chardonnay, Mercedes etc

barcelosthehappychicken · 27/04/2016 13:13

I as thinking "Wizadora, we adore y'a"

Sorry

AskingForAPal · 27/04/2016 13:25

Me too Midnight, she's actually called Adora Belle Dearheart. She hates it IIRC and her nicknames are Spike and Killer :)

But I don't mind it!

MidnightVelvetthe5th · 27/04/2016 13:28

Hahahaa Asking I knew someone would pick me up on that, I typed out the Belle bit then deleted it as I thought it might be a bit distracting Grin Grin

kelda · 27/04/2016 13:38

Loved the character Adorabelle Dearhreart from TP.

I wouldn't personally choose it as a name. What about Dora as the name on the certificate and Adora as a nickname?

LadyAntonella · 27/04/2016 13:40

Love Dora.

MidnightVelvetthe5th · 27/04/2016 13:42

Dora is lovely, very Dickensian, sadly taken over recently by The Explorer!

Sophronia · 27/04/2016 14:02

I prefer Adara

Alisvolatpropiis · 27/04/2016 14:31

Not keen, Anorah is quite nice though?

Ilovenannyplum · 27/04/2016 15:10

I automatically think Wizadora you'll adore her.....

Remember her? Annoying tv programme from the 90's

Adarajames · 27/04/2016 15:18

Sophronia - why thank you! Wink Grin
