I think it's a lovely name :)

TealLove · 16/04/2016 11:55

I love it

IcedTin · 16/04/2016 12:13

I find it a bit twee and don't really like it.

smartyclogs · 16/04/2016 12:40

I like it and it was on my list for Dd2.

MadameJosephine · 16/04/2016 12:42

Can't help thinking of coronation street, sorry.

Much prefer Sadie

hownottofuckup · 16/04/2016 12:47

It was number 982 last year apparently, SP definitely not popular.

I'm not keen on Sadie for some reason. When I was little I used to pretend I had 2 Dobermans called Dastardly and Sadie Confused

Makes me think of Coronation Street too. I prefer Sarah (which Sally was originally a nn for).

FiaMarrow · 16/04/2016 14:09

Love it.

cecinestpasunepipe · 16/04/2016 14:17

Love it! Makes me think of pigtails and gingham dresses.

MrsRedFly · 16/04/2016 21:00

One of my favourite names as a child - even named one of my sindys Sally too!

Ankleswingers · 16/04/2016 21:03

Sorry but not feeling it. Makes me Think of Aunt Sally from Worzel Gummidge or Sally Webster from Corrie.

Sadie IMO is much prettier

mydogeatsnutstoo · 16/04/2016 21:40

A bit middle aged, not awful but not very exciting.
I also like Sadie though sounds a bit like sadist.
There are nicer names!

Imps9 · 17/04/2016 09:09

Blimey, it was only yesterday evening I was thinking about Sally as a potential name - what a coincidence.

I think it's a lovely name but I'm not 100% sold on it (for me) and I don't know why. It's fresh but classic at the same time. I only know one Sally (mid-30s) - unfortunately people call her "Sal" which she really hates but she's too polite to correct them!

Oysterbabe · 17/04/2016 10:15

I like it. I also like Molly which I think has a similar feel.

Chickpeachick0 · 17/04/2016 10:20

Lovely happy name !

DerelictMyBalls · 17/04/2016 10:25

It's very 'dinner lady' and not in a good way.

Nibbl3s · 17/04/2016 11:56

Reminds me of Sally Webster, sorryBlush

MuddhaOfSuburbia · 17/04/2016 12:05

I really, really like it

Plus I have never EVER met a not nice one in rl

pilates · 17/04/2016 12:11

Horrible, sorry

Vixxfacee · 17/04/2016 12:51

One of the worst named ever imo!

MyKingdomForBrie · 17/04/2016 12:56

Worst names ever?! Christ that's a bit much.

I love it, and it's unusual in kids at the moment!

cherrypiesally · 17/04/2016 12:58

I'm a 'Sally'; there are very few of us. Have known a 'Sally Anne' and taught a Sallie last year. don't often get called Sal,( apart from by DH)! I like having a different name. bTw at 41 I think I'm nearly middle aged! 😢

Seekingmiracles · 17/04/2016 21:58

I like it. We will use it as a middle name if we have a DD - dh's mums name.
As for those saying it's horrible - I've seen FAR worse on these boards, names that I see as being a lot more 'middle aged'.

I know a baby Sally. I think it's sweet as long as it isn't "Sally-Anne", the 1970's precursor to Lily-May (nice names but a bit overdone together).
