I posted yesterday asking for short, timeless names for a girl to follow sisters Lily and Eve so sorry for another post but..

Tula? My 12 year old came out with it last night! At first I wasn't sure but having looked it up this name is rare!

Obviously that's probably because people don't like it but perhaps not many have heard of it? It's a variant of Tallulah (a name I'm not keen on) and means 'leaping water'. I've been looking for a name with meaning and as my name means 'white water' it's basically the same meaning!

So..thoughts? It's pronounced 'too la' not 'chu la'.

I like the name Sula but had not heard Tula before. Don't know the bag, baby carrier or hoobs; the medical connection would put me off.

I like Petula which Tula could be short for but Tula on its own I am really not sure.

Though the combination Tula Jane has just come into my head. Sula Jane or Petula Jane?
