I really need opinions on this, I love Teddy, but I know it probably isn't suitable for an adult... I have considered all the other names it's a diminutive of, but I think they all have a more obvious NN (Ed/Eddie / Theo, etc.) :)

Theodore or any Ed- name on the birth certificate! He won't be known as Theo or Ed if you call him Ted/Teddy when he's small.

I know a child named just Teddy. It's adorable on a baby/small child but I think it's a shame he won't have the choice of using a more formal name when he's older.

Tedrick just sounds like a Ted/Frederick smush, and silly. Sorry!

KoalaDownUnder · 07/01/2016 14:08

Tedrick is ridiculous. Please don't!

Tedrick Grin

To go with his brother Patward.

There are just no words.

LauraMipsum · 07/01/2016 17:29

Tedrick could be the posher, floppier-haired, classically trained version of Jedward Grin

ProfGrammaticus · 07/01/2016 17:35

Tedrick. Definitely. Go for it, you won't regret it.

Secondtimeround75 · 07/01/2016 17:39

It's beyond awful

StitchesInTime · 07/01/2016 19:56

Patward Grin

ProfGrammaticus · 07/01/2016 20:02

Ooh yes Patward also good.

Philchard? Bit too much like Pilchard maybe?

villainousbroodmare · 07/01/2016 20:33

LOVE Patward! Grin

I know a Tedbar, which is a proper old but rarely used name. Person I know is elderly. I like it.

WhoTheFuckIsSimon · 07/01/2016 20:44

I'm not as keen on Tedrick.
