Mere (pronounced Merry) is a gorgeous nickname too.

Meredith is also very much a girls' name! I am originally from the U.S. abs do think of it as more of a U.S. name - also more mum's generation. But the only Meredith I currently know well is British!

I love Meredith and it's definitely on my list
