The list so far:
Hazel
Iris
Violet
Fern
To go with sister Ivy.

Any suggestions?

Apologies for the brevity. Typing in between vomiting and watching Strictly.

Some gorgeous names here. DP and I seem to disagree on most of them.
I must humour him this time as I chose Ivy Wink

I like the previous suggestion of Sorrel.

Rowan is great for either a girl or a boy.

Gentian
Aubretia
Tamarisk
Amaryllis

missmargot · 25/10/2015 06:19

How about:

Camellia
Tansy
Calla
Flora
Ianthe
Zinnia

AuntGertrude · 25/10/2015 07:23

Lavender
Cicely (sweet cicely is a herb, I think)

lozengeoflove · 25/10/2015 09:02

I quite like Cecily but think Cicely will get confused with it a lot.
Clementine - no way, the sight of them makes me vomit.

Lots of gorgeous plants mentioned but none name worthy for me sorry. Want something pronounceable and spell-able by a child and adults alike.

WhyCantI I've known a Lettice, but haven't come across a Lettuce. I think perhaps nothing edible.

Campion

Hufflepuffin · 25/10/2015 10:26

Saffron?

scatterthenuns · 25/10/2015 10:48

I think it doesn't matter which one you choose, two plant names is twee.

zipzap · 25/10/2015 10:56

I like Hester which is apparently another name for Myrtle (I know one of those - but an old one, nice name but I suspect a no go for any Harry Potter readers).

I also like Coco which is sort of plant related...

florascotianew · 25/10/2015 11:08

Lettice/Lettys was an English version of Laetitia, wich means joyful.

Hebe (flowering shrub)
Veronica (botanical name for Speedwell- very pretty flowers)
Ginevra (version of Juniper)
Genista (flowering shrub - broom)
Erica (heather)
Silvia (goddess of woods and trees)
Malva (flowering shrub - mallow)
Jessamy (version of Jessamine/Jasmine)
Prunella (wildflower - Self-Heal)
Anemone
Primavera (goddess of springtime and spring flowers)

Have we had Laura already?

FlysInDreams · 25/10/2015 11:28

Isn't Primavera just Italian for Spring? It's also a name of a pizza though.

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 25/10/2015 11:32

Veronica

Bupcake · 25/10/2015 11:35

A friend of mine has an Ixxia (I think that's how it's spelled). It's some kind of flower!
