What do you think of the name Robert?

My DS Middle name, after the FIL, I think it's lovely! Although GBob is his current Nick name!

Bit too 'my generation' for me thus seems a bit dull.

Typical nn for Robert is Rab.

It's a good name.

It fulfils all my criteria- It's a real name properly spelt. Any nicknames can be used to any effect. Baby Robby/Bobby/Bertie through to Rob/Bob the teenager/hipster/biker to adult Rob/Robert and grandad Bert!

Bit dull for me.

Oh I love Bob. I have DD and she's Robin, nn Bob.

Love it, sensible name without being dull or particularly identified as either posh or the opposite.

I love it. Easy to say, translates well in most languages and works well across all classes.
