Is George 'Posh'

DH refuses to consider George because it's "posh"

We already have Henry & James, to put this in context.

Is George posh (or posher than H&J?) all...vote... NOW!

No posher than Henry or James! They're all the same level of poshness IMO . All lovely names.

I think Henry is quite posh but all 3 names definitely work together.

Traditional and 3 lovely boys names. I have a nephew who is George my sil is definitely not posh! Just 'normal modern'

Henry, James and George are all Royal names.

No, it's one of those names that gives nothing away about the person. George could be anything from a pot washer to a High Court judge.

I'd say it's traditional and classless. A George would be a normal and unremarkable name for a baby from any and all levels of society. It fits very well with Henry and James.

I see Henry as much "posher" than George or James.

To put into context we wouldn't have chosen Henry or james as too posh for us or so we thought.
However we did consider George but in the end opted for another name as georgie Porgie rhyme was not what we wanted to hear coming from th playground.
I think it's a lovely name but we weren't brave enough

George is way less posh than Henry!!

harry, Thomas william Edward Theodore are all traditional names.

Henry is a posh name IMO. All nice names, George is fab.

James

i think its a normal name. My builder is called George and I never thought ooh, he has a posh name. Not that builders can't be posh, I'm sure they can, mine isn't!

Yes all 3 are Thomas the Tank Engine names but they do go very well together. I agree Henry is posh. George and James both classless.

It's just a normal name, I agree that Henry is more posh than George and James.
