I really like it as it was my Grandads name so was one I considered. Lots of Noels that arent edmundy like Noel Mighty Boosh and Noel Fitzpatrick etc. And we have a friend called Noel whose very cool. Also Knowle Ruher from xfiles is a cool character and different way of spelling it. So Id say a good name all round!

Several friends who all happen to be pleasant jolly farmers in their forties and fifties. Christmas babies. General positivity.

Getting drunk on sherry while delivering Christmas cards.

(Aunty Maureen and Uncle Noel were long family friends - Aunty Maureen grew up with my mum and aunties - and lived just down the road from my Best Aunty Ever. When delivering Christmas cards aged 12 I was given Far Too Much Sherry and it was lovely! On another occasion, Aunty Maureen got my then-95 year gran rolling drunk on Southern Comfort...that was HILARIOUS)

Neither Edmonds or Gallagher are good associations - plus it's just a horrible name.

For some reason it always makes me think of eggs/Humpty Dumpty Hmm then Edmonds, Gallagher, Christmas, then twins I knew called Noel and Leon

I am a fan of Noel G and Noel F and Christmas however it's just a name that I can't warm too.

On the 25 June we'll be half way there. Just though I'd try and cheer everyone up Grin

Edmonds - yuk!
Gallagher - barely any better

I think of a beige man wearing beige trousers and a brown and beige stripey jumper. Actually less beige stripes and more horizontal zigzags. Noel also has a greasy combover. Well you did ask!

In my head I sing 'Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel, born is the King of Israel!'

And then I remember that it was/is my late father's middle name, despite his Sept birthday.

My lovely friend Noel. Eccentric, funny, handsome, interesting guy in his early 30s.
