How exciting!!

I would choose Ella and Zara. Both lovely names, and they go well together.

Good luck with everything! Grin

Belazu84 · 14/05/2015 12:18

Ella and Zara
Zara and Esme
Harriet and Esme

These are the best pairings IMO!

Rebecca1608 · 14/05/2015 12:24

Harriet was a favourite (my grandad was Harry) but i wanted a name that went with Harriet nicely but I like the pairings ^ :) thanks ladies. X

Harriet and Esme
Or
Harriet and Zara.

Not keen on the other names, sorry. Smile

InfiniteJest · 14/05/2015 12:37

That's a lovely reason to want the name Harriet! I think it goes well with Ella Smile

charlyn · 14/05/2015 12:48

I like Harriet and Zara :) Not keen on any of the others.

Allthatnonsense · 14/05/2015 12:50

Harriet and Esme

Belazu84 · 14/05/2015 12:57

Yes given your reasons I think Harriet and Esme are perfect! Could be nicknamed Hatty and Esme too.

timelyreminder · 14/05/2015 14:17

Harriet and Zara go well together. I also like Alyssa.

Rebecca1608 · 14/05/2015 14:28

Ohhh decisions decisions. I love them all! Confused

Harriet and Esme.

FeelingSmurfy · 14/05/2015 14:40

As cute as it may seem I would try to stay away from rhyming names or even names beginning with the same letter, as they get older can be frustrating when people refer to them as the twins rather than separate people and rhyming names or even names that start with the same letter can add to the confusion and make people less likely to bother learning who is who

FeelingSmurfy · 14/05/2015 14:41

Lovely names in that list Smile

Ellie and Alyssa or Aleah could (likely to) become Ellie and Allie

sweetpeame · 14/05/2015 15:16

Harriet - unlike seemingly all of mumsnet, I don't like this name. Possibly because I'm not British and it feels very stuffy to me. However you have a personal reason for liking it which is lovely so it's probably a good bet for one of your girls Smile.
Zara - quite like it
Ellie - nice, a bit overused
Ella - nice
Esme - love it
Alyssa - don't like it, feels very fussy
Aleah - as per Alyssa

All in all, I'd go for Harriet and Esme from your list.

Rebecca1608 · 14/05/2015 15:44

I think Harriet & Esme are favourites atm :)

fatballerina · 14/05/2015 15:49

I have an Esme so I am biased!I agree Harriet goes well as does Ellie I think.

Guin1 · 14/05/2015 16:21

I thought Harriet and Esme too, straight after reading the OP and before looking at other replies. Interesting that so many others picked the same two.

BreeVDKamp · 14/05/2015 16:37

My name and our chosen girl's name are on your list! How funny. And Alyssa was on our shortlist! Good taste ;)

For me, Ella and Ellie are too popular, and I'd pick either Zara and Esme or Zara and Alyssa.

DramaAlpaca · 14/05/2015 17:02

Harriet & Esme

emmalineavocado · 14/05/2015 18:59

Harriet and Alice

(prefer Alice to Alyssa)

Clueing4looks · 14/05/2015 19:05

If you were open to other suggestions, I think that Harriet and Alexandra go lovely together.

WildebeestH · 14/05/2015 19:53

Definitely Harriet and Esme.

Rebecca1608 · 14/05/2015 20:23

Esme is a beautiful name and not too common (well, I only know one) Harriet for me is almost a definite. It's tough Confused

Ella & Zara

Congratulations!

turdfairynomore · 15/05/2015 00:25

I love Harriet and Esme. But just wonder if Esme would feel "second best" or aggrieved at not having a link to family member. It might seem like Harriet was "more special" ? Or maybe I'm overthinking it!
