Nina: Urgent opinions needed

What do people think of Nina? Is it popular at the moment? I love it but I'm a hormonal wreck so don't trust my own judgement right now. I regretted out last name choice after the hormones cleared. Help me hive mind!

Great name. Not at all like Gina and Tina which to me sound a bit 80s.

Nina is... intelligent, snappy, attractive, has a European air.

If you're not sure, the Welsh name Nia is also beautiful, and very familiar and easy to say outside of Wales.

If you would post your older DCs name, I bet you'd get some good opinions on the 'feel' of that, and possibly whether you might be likely to regret Nina later? Or, what did you later wish you'd called your older DC?

I'm a bit biased as I have a lovely friend called Nina. She's Swedish and I think it is quite a popular name there?

I love it. My niece is a Nina, she is 8. She is beautiful and bright and into ballet and karate and lego. It works cross culturally which is also important.

I wasn't sure at first as it sounded very 80s to me as I have a bit of an obsession with Nena and . Now it is just perfect for the gorgeous little girl that is my niece. Slightly gutted as we have had to strike Nia off our list.

It's a great name.
