Wren for a girl?

This could be a futile thread as I'm newly pregnant and it could be either sex but I'm mulling over girls names and struggling.

I had this problem with DD1&2 and and DH effectively named them as I was dithering.

However I came across Wren for a girl and I love it. DH thinks I'm mad.

Is it hormones messing with my head? Or is it a perfectly acceptable name?

I love it! Currently 13+2 and Wren is my favourite choice of middle name if we have a girl. DH not so keen and DM turned her nose up at it when I mentioned it yesterday. Apparently it's too airy fairy an hippyish. I absolutely love it though. I can already feel myself not being confident enough to name my child what I actually want to name it and going for something that will get the approval of my very mainstream parents and brother (brother in particular takes the mickey out of anything that is not off the top 10 list, it really annoys me).

I like it. I know one who is in her late 30s. She is very clever and a hard working, independent sort, so I associate the name with being 'strong'.

I would like to be called Wren.

I love it.

I think of L'Wren scott, mick jaggers' on again off again, who killed herself.

Wren is a middle name to me, but Carenza is a good first name I think?

I think it is really pretty and I'm not one for non traditional names. Really really pretty. Go for it.

I think it's pretty and unfussy. Could fit all kinds of people.

I know a little Wren, great name.

And I would imagine 99.9% of the population have no deep rooted naval obsessions, so don't worry about that! Not that it's an off putting link anyway.

I definitely think of the lovely bird and nature when I hear Wren.

I think it's lovely Smile

How about Seren nn Wren?
Really like Serendipity, and Seren, but I can't say much about Wren as I'm not British.

I love it. It isn't a nickname for anything else, due to the w. It's a lovely name in its own right.

I would have had it on my girls name shortlist however I know someone with the surname Wren who is a horrible human being Sad
