DH really likes it, I'm not so sure.

I only know one Logan who is from a vair posh family Wink

The only other Logan is Wolverine.

What do you think when you hear the name Logan? If you know a Logan, what are they like?

I only know it as a surname, but the Logan family are very nice! It sounds Irish or Scottish to me, not posh.

Cheesymonster · 31/01/2015 10:01

I love it. It was on our short list.

Cheesymonster · 31/01/2015 10:01

Oh and I don't know any others.

HermioneWeasley · 31/01/2015 10:02

My mind went straight to Wolverine. Not necessarily bad.

Leeds2 · 31/01/2015 10:37

Sorry, I don't like it at all. But I am not a fan of using surnames as first names generally. And I would certainly say that it is not a posh name.

insancerre · 31/01/2015 10:39

I know 2
One is the child of a doctor
The other is the youngest of 10 children whose family live in social housing on benefits
I like it. Its a strong name

MadeInChorley · 31/01/2015 10:39

It's a Scottish name. Quite common up there and very of the moment. Might even be top ten.

ItMustBeBedtimeSurely · 31/01/2015 10:41

Definitely not posh. Quite the opposite. Depends if that bothers you or not.

Sophronia · 31/01/2015 10:58

I don't like it much. I know one with siblings Scarlett and Jayden.

Faez · 31/01/2015 11:00

Huntzberger

sweetkitty · 31/01/2015 11:02

Know quite a few as someone else has said it's quite popular in Scotland as a lot of surnames are used as boys first names up here.

Koalafications · 31/01/2015 11:09

No, it certainly doesn't bother me that it's not a 'posh' name. It's just the only Logan I know comes from a very posh family, but he is in his 20's and I don't think it was as population the 80's as it is now.

I know one - he's a golden retriever Grin

Trapper · 31/01/2015 11:15

I think you should run with it.

Only1scoop · 31/01/2015 11:17

Awful

Methe · 31/01/2015 11:19

Awful from me too.

amy83firsttimer · 31/01/2015 11:23

common

Koalafications · 31/01/2015 11:25

Why do you think it's 'common' amy?

Whenwillwe3meetagain · 31/01/2015 11:28

Sounds like an American park ranger. Not posh at all in uk in my opinion.

TheNewStatesman · 31/01/2015 12:03

Loganberry.
Logo.

I think it's weird sounding.

amy83firsttimer · 31/01/2015 12:12

I just do - can't explain why. A lot of other people have said the same but with tact. I don't do tact.

AgentCooper · 31/01/2015 12:17

It sounds Irish or Scottish to me, not posh

Anne, you do get poshos in Scotland and Ireland, you know Grin I'm definitely not one of them, though (and thank fuck for that because they're all called Laird, Innes or Isabella).

AnneofCheese · 31/01/2015 12:20

I know, I'm scottish myself! But posh Scottish would be 'Mungo' or something Grin

Romeyroo · 31/01/2015 12:20

I like it, but then I am North of the border!

oneowlgirl · 31/01/2015 12:34

I love it & if our surname weren't similar sounding, I'd have used it.
