Most beautiful, unique girl's name you know?

Please help! Still on the hunt for a girls name and I love ones that are incredibly unique (perhaps only heard once or twice).

Would love your best suggestions! Needs to be incredibly feminine as the surname is very traditional English, long, clunky.

Names ending in 'A' sounds work well. Names with 'ella' sounds don't (So Aurelia, while I love it, won't work and is becoming too popular).

Names like Arietta, Aya, Elka, Allegra? I'm just not sure we love them enough. What is the most beautiful, unique girls name you have heard?

Middle name not settled, but will probably be something more well known (Juliette, Francesca, Cara, Amelie). Thanks for your help!

My mother used to know a Vasilka. I think she was Czech. Also I rather like the Jewish name, Zehava.

I know a little girl called tallulah. They call her lulu for short and she's the most beautiful little girl. I've never met a tallulah before so pretty unusual in my book.

I know another lovely little one called felicity but they call her flissy or fliss for short which at first I didnt like felicity but flissy really grew on me.

I really like Rhiannon too.

BikeRunSki · 18/12/2014 18:05

LittlePink are you in SW Wales? I know a Tallulah too, and I can't imagine there are that many.

SurfsUp1 · 18/12/2014 19:57

Moana - means ocean.
The Moana I know is actually some sort of Tahitian Princess or something.

No I'm not in Wales but with me saying Rhiannon that must have made it sound even more like I'm Welsh!

Jeggie · 18/12/2014 21:15

I was at school with a Sameena - a name that was just lovely (and so much nicer than mine...). Also knew a girl called Friday, which at the time (aged 5) I thought was odd, but now I think is pretty cool.

I have always loved "priska" or "prisca"

Primerose, Lavinia, proscovia or scovia. The names I could have name my dd and my dh contested it. I lost.

SuedeEffectPochette · 18/12/2014 23:09

Mahalia. heard a radio thing about Mahalia Jackson once and loved it ever since. Too unusual for me to use but I love it.

MileyCyrus · 19/12/2014 12:57

I think that the best girls name is Siphilis, or Clemidia. Or Ebola, or Candy, or Prossi. But I would highly recommend Siphilis! 17 of my girls are already called it. The other 67,574,183 I called Ebola.

LittlePink · 19/12/2014 20:13

Coralie or coco for short.

toobreathless · 20/12/2014 00:21

DD2s name has been mentioned several times (Celeste) :) we haven't met another.

Our list should we have another DD:
Laurel
Rowan
Anastasia
Constance
Susannah
Cassandra
Verity
Felicity

Names mentioned I would avoid:
Isis
Beatrice (soaring in popularity)
Florence (ditto)

Names not my thing you might like:
Rowena
Seraphina
Delilah
Esther/Hester
Georgiana
Elisabetta
Isola
Iona (the next Isla?)

Roseylee20 · 20/12/2014 20:34

I quite like Savannah! I don't personally know a savannah so that sort of name would suit me just fine as I too would like a unique name that you don't hear often x

Roseylee20 · 20/12/2014 20:36

Have just seen that someone mentioned tallulah.. I love that name too!
