we're stuck for a boy's name, ages to decide yet, we have a wyatt and a joseph.

middle name will be ronald. (family links)

we have beatrice sally for a girl (family links again)

i'm not sure on Otis. if not what 'b' names are there for boys, please not ben or any variation on it though. We did both like bertie, or Albie is that a sound name, not too pompus (hubs and I are the least pompus you'd meet)

Oops and at his first doctors appointment the doctor called him in and said Otis , like the lifts . Ooops! But it has been ace for learning to recognise his name ! Today he was introduced to Otis the aardvark at the Lowry and he was most impressed ! Phew! ; )

No.

(Sorry, but that was my first thought)

frames · 14/08/2014 21:53

Lifts
Redding

It's a great name, though. Go for it.

mistlethrush · 15/08/2014 11:06

Otis - great name for a lovely dog. (sorry!)

ClashCityRocker · 15/08/2014 11:10

I think of ardvaark and redding, but IRL if I knew an Otis, I'm sure the association would soon pass. I wouldn't worry in the slightest, it's something you can't control.....think of all the people who have daughters called Elsa, esp those just before Frozen came out.

Otis pompous twat Ferry

moggle · 15/08/2014 13:07

All the things people have already said were what came into my mind when DH's best mate had his first child a couple of years ago, who was named Otis. But now, when I hear Otis I think of this cute little boy. I mean, it's a real name, isn't it. Lifts, funny kids puppet, awesome singer, they aren't the worst associations in the world.

Fruityb · 15/08/2014 13:09

Monkey Island! There was a character called that on there lol

(It's a computer game. The lead character is called Guybrush so could be worse)

Theresomethingaboutdairy · 16/08/2014 08:52

Lifts!

scottishmummy · 16/08/2014 09:06

Otis, lifts or musician,or aardvark ,or horah henry son of bryan ferry

Muskey · 16/08/2014 09:13

My first thought for Otis was redding but I really love the name. Given the other names you have for your dc how about Noah not sure why it just popped into my head

Sunna · 16/08/2014 09:14

Redneck American is what comes to mind.
