we're stuck for a boy's name, ages to decide yet, we have a wyatt and a joseph.

middle name will be ronald. (family links)

we have beatrice sally for a girl (family links again)

i'm not sure on Otis. if not what 'b' names are there for boys, please not ben or any variation on it though. We did both like bertie, or Albie is that a sound name, not too pompus (hubs and I are the least pompus you'd meet)

feelingmellow · 11/08/2014 13:03

There was a film about a dog called Otis

feelingmellow · 11/08/2014 13:05

It was called Milo and Otis I think - both dogs who go on an adventure

RustyBear · 11/08/2014 13:09

Lifts first, then Lex Luthor's sidekick in the first Superman film.

mrssmith79 · 11/08/2014 13:10

Re Beau, you could always broach it with (70's American muscle car coveting) dh via the Dukes of Hazard route...after all, bet no-one told Bo Duke he was girly when he was out and about in the General Lee.

I'm showing my age now Confused

ApocalypseNowt · 11/08/2014 13:10

Aardvark or a CBBC presenter (who I think was called Otis).

SantasLittleMonkeyButler · 11/08/2014 13:22

I'm not sure any child should be called Boden TBH Grin.

Although it is quite a nice sound.

Virginiaplain1 · 11/08/2014 13:23

Miss Otis regrets - a song by Cole Porter (how about Cole?)

ouryve · 11/08/2014 13:26

Lifts.

Davidtennantmistress · 11/08/2014 14:05

oh no boden is a no! lol. ooh bram, although is that not too close to brum the car? lol.

mrs smith - I may go that angle as that's the reason I like it lol. (the remake movie!)

so we're thinking Otis is a dog as well - that was on hub's choice for dog no 2 actually Hmm

SnapeAndLily · 11/08/2014 14:08

Otis the aardvark was teamed with Toby Anstis, wasn't he?

Bram is unusual, but with a clear example in history, so not outre as such. I think I might like it!

ButterflyOfFreedom · 11/08/2014 14:09

Of the (second) list I've put on I think the only ones I actually like are Bram and Bronson - Boden is a definite no-no in my book though some people obviously like it (my colleague has a 4 year old one).

I actually quite like Brett and Brent (from my first list!) though you don't hear (m)any babies called that these days.

derektheladyhamster · 11/08/2014 14:09

I really like Otis

burgatroyd · 11/08/2014 14:14

Redding.

Then oatabix

NanFlanders · 11/08/2014 14:17

Sitting on the dock of the bay, la la la la la la. Lovely song. Like the name too.

BackforGood · 11/08/2014 14:17

Redding

Is anyone going to reply to the 'Who's the Aardvark ?' question please?

Gileswithachainsaw · 11/08/2014 14:19

Otis te aardvark was a puppet that featured along side cbbc presenters in the broom cupboard a long time ago.

As were edd the duck and Gordon the gopher.
