If I ask you which name to prefer, Susannah, Suzanne, or Suzette?

Susannah

MamaPain · 20/07/2014 18:31

Susannah.

Suzanne is very dated, all a bit M&S knickers and WI for me.

Suzette, as in crepes suzette?

PenelopePitstops · 20/07/2014 18:31

Susannah

ApocalypseNowt · 20/07/2014 18:32

Susannah

Bowlersarm · 20/07/2014 18:33

Susannah

CheerfulYank · 20/07/2014 18:33

It would be a middle name for a as yet unconceived DD. Mother in law is Suzanne and I'd like to use a Sue name in honor. :)

Susannah is my personal choice too.

Susie, not a fan of any of the above.

BobPatandIgglePiggle · 20/07/2014 18:35

Susannah but only with a short first name really. How about just Sue or susie?

MilkandCereal · 20/07/2014 18:36

Suzanne. I can't get that song out of my head when I read/hear Susannah.

Saltedcaramel2014 · 20/07/2014 18:38

Susannah is pretty. Crepe suzette

suze28 · 20/07/2014 18:40

Susannah definitely. My RL name is Suzanne and I always wanted to be Susannah, I still wish it was now. My name gets shortened to Suze or Suzie but never Sue.
I had no idea my name had M&S knickers and WI connotations!Shock

almapudden · 20/07/2014 18:41

Susannah

myusernameis · 20/07/2014 18:42

Suzanne for me.

scaevola · 20/07/2014 18:42

Susannah

ThinkIveBeenHacked · 20/07/2014 18:42

Id use Suzie for all three of them and never the longer version as I much prefer Suzie to any of them. So Suzie would go on the BC.

lornemalvo · 20/07/2014 18:43

Susannah is pretty

DoItTooJulia · 20/07/2014 18:44

Lone voice with Suzette! I love it!

TheFirmament · 20/07/2014 18:48

Don't really like any of them, as all the "Sue" names make me think of frumpy middle-aged ladies who help out at the church. But if I had to, Suzette has a bit of personality even if it is the name of a pudding. "Suze" or Suzie would be OK too.

TheFirmament · 20/07/2014 18:48

Actually I think I also prefer Suzette as it reminds me of a very cool Paulette I once knew. How about Paulette?

FixItUpChappie · 20/07/2014 18:50

Suzanne

AllMimsyWereTheBorogoves · 20/07/2014 18:52

Susannah. You could also spend it Susanna.

Re 'frumpy middle-aged ladies' - (a) what's so awful about being frumpy? and (b) not all middle-aged women are frumpy!

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 20/07/2014 18:52

Susannah - lovely.

TheFirmament · 20/07/2014 18:55

It's just that a very specific image of "Sue" (or Suzanne, etc) pops into my head immediately. She's about 55, frumpy and doing something in a church.

There's nothing wrong with that if it's who you are and want to be, it just doesn't seem to go with a baby girl. I'm not religious, it's not my world, I don't like the clothes imaginary Sue is wearing, and so it's not a name I like. It's just my opinion!

Sorry Sue!
