Ha can you imagine?

What are yours called?
Meg and Fox.
Umm... you're a big fan then!

IsabellaRockerfeller · 17/07/2014 21:58

No.

A fox is an animal, not a child's name. It sounds like you are trying too hard to be cool and different.

I also don't like the foxy/fox (as in sexy lady) connotations either.

ZenNudist · 17/07/2014 22:08

We loved fox as a middle name. Also maverick Smile but in the end wanted to treat our child's name with appropriate seriousness .

ThinkIveBeenHacked · 17/07/2014 22:13

I do like the X Files but it isnt the connection with that which makes me love the name.

Ever since ive been pregnant this time, ive just had this love of fox things - not that ive bought much (a vest anda hat) but I seem to be Pinning lots on pinterest and the like and I just thought the Fox part of his name would be synonymous with the pregnancy.

Absolutely love it.

vestandknickers · 17/07/2014 22:15

No.

Not a real name.

May as well go for Stoat or Gerbil. It would make as much sense.

Angelto5 · 17/07/2014 22:18

How about the name Hunter?

funnyoldonion · 17/07/2014 22:19

I want it as a second middle name for my imaginary son

MargotLovedTom · 17/07/2014 22:20

Too easily morphs into 'Fucks' imo.

It was a name my DH was very keen on each time I was pregnant. Thankfully we only had girls.

WildThong · 17/07/2014 22:21

For fox sake, no!

Kleptronic · 17/07/2014 22:22

I dunno, it's a funny one. For example, Delta and River seem fine, Estuary and Tributary not so much. Fox and Wolf seem fine, Stoat and Badger, not so much. I'd really like to call a daughter Owl, because I really like owls. I mean, really like owls. But then it's not all about me, is it?

BackforGood · 17/07/2014 22:24

Don't do it to the poor lad.

FauxFox · 17/07/2014 22:25

Fabulous name!

Sophronia · 17/07/2014 22:40

No, too close to Megan Fox with Meg as a sibling.

ALittleDickyBirdToldMe · 17/07/2014 22:48

Fox Mulder is the first thing that comes to mind.

I'm a huge X Files fan but I really don't like the name Fox, sorry.

randdom · 18/07/2014 03:01

I have two work colleagues who both have little boys under 3 called fox. I wasn't sure at first but it has grown on me!

VashtaNerada · 18/07/2014 03:25

Will definitely say "Mulder" to a certain generation! (And he hated his name!)

VashtaNerada · 18/07/2014 03:27

Batmansunderpants · 18/07/2014 03:47

I know a Little Fox. His family are interesting enough to carry it off.

RnB · 18/07/2014 06:46

I have a Fox, it is actually his middle name but he is known by everyone as Fox.

WowserBowser · 18/07/2014 09:12

I like it! Agree you can't use it with Meg though!

ThinkIveBeenHacked · 18/07/2014 09:28

Whats his first name RnB if you are willing ti share?

Its lovely! Go for it! This might be outing me but I know a couple who have a little boy called "Otter" (I'm pretty sure there's only one) and he is just the most delicious little chap.

I also know a teenaged Fox whose parents are very posh, country people and a boy who is about 7 called Badger and a new baby, a little girl called Lark.

squoosh · 18/07/2014 10:51

Fox and Lark I can see working as names.........but Badger??

devoncreamtea · 18/07/2014 12:13

I love it! Try it out on him when he's born, you'll soon know how you feel about it.
